Earth has never had more water or less water, just like Mars

NASA Rover Finds Surprising Evidence for Mars' Watery Past

The strongest evidence yet that ancient Mars was much wetter than it is now has been unearthed by NASA's Spirit rover.

A patch of Martian soil kicked up and analyzed by Spirit appears to be rich in silica, which suggests it would have required water to produce.

    ...

"You could hear people gasp in astonishment," said Steve Squyres, principal investigator for NASA's twin Spirit and Opportunity rovers at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. "This is a remarkable discovery."

    Draggin' the line

This discovery came about unexpectedly as the result of a mechanical failure.

Life exists on earth in the most inhabitable places, as long as there is water.

This only supports Intelligent Design even further, it's so obvious this was god's plan (to find water and for life to be there).

life was on mars.....and if the sun swells or shrinks, life may begin to form on Mars or Venus...and die on Earth.
Problem with that logic is that it fail to take into account the magnetic field protecting Earth that simply does not exist on either Venus or Mars.

In fact, because of the solar winds, Venus' dense atmosphere is being eroded, with a long comet-like tale extending many millions of miles...

The magnetic field on Earth comes from the Earth's molten iron core. This core in effect acts as a huge magnet (this is how compasses work) causing a huge magnetic field of enormous power to surround the Earth. The constant Solar winds, Solar Flares and Mass Solar Ejections are repelled by this flexible, powerful field, and when pushed to the breaking point, produce what we know as the norther lights, which is effectively the magnetic field of the earth snapping back into place after being pushed to their breaking point, much like a rubber band.

Mars is a volcanically dead planet. No field, plus a lower gravity (smaller planet) and the fact that it is further from the sun, causing it to be slightly cooler, all lead to a practically non-existent atmosphere, and little if any LIQUID water, which is what is needed for life-as-we-know-it.

Venus is slightly closer, also with no magnetic field, which did the opposite effect of Mars: the water evaporated (no liquid) and with gravity equivalent to that of Earth's, created a huge greenhouse effect, the likes of which we can't even imagine, with temperatures in the 900 degree range. But even that atmosphere is eroding, so there is little chance life will have any opportunity to ever develop there, even in the distant future.

And theoretically, all life needs to exist is either chemo or photo synthesis. But since other bodies in our solar system have neither the temperature stability, or the water akin to that of Earth, so far, there is no life to speak of, even on Europa.
