The Bobcats beat both of those teams. We were just beating teams we're supposed to beat. This is the biggest fluke WCF since Spurs/Suns.
Everyone needs to stop talking about how this Western Conference Finals is the lowest rated one in history and start talking about how it will be the most compe ive WCF since the Kings vs. Lakers series in 2002. You have to admit that the 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 WCF's were all one-sided and those series' were over before they began.
Spurs vs Mavericks in 03 - Spurs faced a mediocre/average Dallas team that only made the WCF's because of a Chris Webber injury in the 2nd round.
Lakers vs Timberwolves in 04 - Quite possibly the worst WCF in NBA history. The NBA must have really been in a bad state if the Timberwolves made the Western Conference Finals. Minnesota was the worst top-record team in NBA history in 2004. I wish LA had swept Minnesota and got rid of those jokers faster.
Spurs vs Suns in 05 - You can win the first and second round on jump shooting, but no further. Enough said. One-sided series, Spurs sweep Suns in 5.
Mavericks vs Suns in 06 - Two teams that should have been eliminated in the 1st and 2nd rounds. Didn't offer much of a compe ive series to watch with this one.
With the Spurs and Jazz in 07 WCF, we could possibly see a 7-game compe ive, physical series, and it'll be the first time since 2002 where both WCF teams actually belong in the WCF's.
The Bobcats beat both of those teams. We were just beating teams we're supposed to beat. This is the biggest fluke WCF since Spurs/Suns.
who's the bobcats?
One of the many teams that beat the fluke Spurs this year.
Yes, because you know every NBA champion the last 20 years has gone 82-0.
Idiot.![]()
He's mocking spursdynasty. See his name is Bobcatsdynasty. lol
Nice rationalization. Nobody outside San Antonio or Utah is watching this series. Tape-delayed games in the 1970's got more viewers.
Oh boy! A Suns troll late for the party!
I figured since the Suns are rightfully supposed to be playing now, I should at least be part of the discussion.
That's ok, at least our team is still playing, ass. Have fun watching reruns of the Lakers series, the only thing your team has to showcase for their 61 win season.
Why? They lost.
So is Dallas. And the Heat.
"Rightfully" has nothing to do with it.
But feel free to be part of the discussion. The more the merrier.
It's a Pyrrhic victory for you: win the series, destroy the league.
The NHL has to be thankful: the Spurs are making them relevant again by default.
Only because the series was stolen from them.
Nah, just a win.
Your loss was impressive though.
And your whining sublime.
You're so late for this. We did all of this a week ago. Read the old threads.
Ginobili has always been good at stealing, as well as Parker, Duncan, and Bowen. Sometimes, even Horry.
So please tell us why the written rules of the league should not apply to two of your players.
ChumpDumper-Don't feed the trolls!
Oh wait. Sorry.
Go get 'em!
If the rules were applied consistently, either only Robert Horry should have been suspended, or Duncan and Bowen should have been along with those who were.
If you look at the tape, as soon as Nash is fouled, Suns coaches and the two players run up to see if he is OK. As soon as Raja Bell confronts Robert Horry, a Suns coach grabs Amare Stoudemire to turn him back, and Boris Diaw turns around and returns to the bench. As soon as the "altercation" begins, Amare and Boris immediately go back to the bench.
There was absolutely no need for the NBA to rule the way they did. If they want to follow the "letter of the law" so absurdly, then what Amare and Boris did was no worse than what the Spurs did when Duncan and Bowen jumped off the bench.
Whether it was just a power play by Stern for the benefit of his own ego, or some cross-promotional scam for Desperate Housewives, what's done is done, and now the NBA gets to deal with the consequences. Nobody takes their "championship" seriously. Nobody watches. Even in San Antonio, people have to be begged and cajoled to go to games.
Dude, the Phoenix Suns weren't going to win the championship anyway. They had their chance in 2005 when Amare was a monster, they lost. 2006, they played a very beatable Dallas team. Still lost.
WHEN ARE PEOPLE GOING TO STOP ING POINTING AT RATINGS OR MENTION HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE WATCHING, JUST BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIKE THE TEAMS IN A SERIES.
You got a point there but it's too late now. You should hate Stern and not the Spurs.
Well, seeing that this is a series with SAN ANTONIO and UTAH's teams in it, it makes sense that SAN ANTONIO and UTAH fans are watching the game.
Championships aren't decided on how many people watch the game.
But Phoenix doesn't have that word in their vocabulary.
Why? Amare and Boris broke the rule as written. Duncan and Bowen did not since there was no altercation taking place.
So you have Raja Bell to blame for starting an altercation.
Duncan and Bowen certainly could have been suspended had there been an altercation. Too bad for you and Amare and Boris and Raja, there wasn't.There was absolutely no need for the NBA to rule the way they did. If they want to follow the "letter of the law" so absurdly, then what Amare and Boris did was no worse than what the Spurs did when Duncan and Bowen jumped off the bench.
So whatever the case is, according to you, the league is fixed. Why do you even care anymore?Whether it was just a power play by Stern for the benefit of his own ego, or some cross-promotional scam for Desperate Housewives, what's done is done, and now the NBA gets to deal with the consequences.
They'll all go to the parade.Nobody takes their "championship" seriously. Nobody watches. Even in San Antonio, people have to be begged and cajoled to go to games.
