We got Eddie F'n Rush and our one guaranteed egg laying game of the series out of the way in the same game. Think of it as a two for 1. Now we've gotten both done away with and can come ready to resume the series in game 4. Get that one and this is over in 5.

We've done well with them for the most part this post season. It's Eddie Rush that's a to overcome, especially on the road. Bavetta called a good game 6 in the last series.

The refs had nothing to do with this loss. The Spurs layed and egg,,,,it was their fault, nobody elses.

I never said the refs did anything. All I said was we got Eddie F'n Rush out of the way. The Spurs have a horrible record with Rush in the PO for whatever reason, so getting him out of the way and getting the one guaranteed egg laying game of the series out of the way in a game 3 where you lead 2-0 is a good thing.

Bavetta will do game 3 of the Pistons-Cavs series ... book it. That's the burning need for Stern right now ... to make sure James doesn't get swept.

That said, there's a good chance we get Javie

You guys know more than anyone that we have to lay an egg, maybe even twice during a series before waking up so to speak. I mean Duncan was pretty much on the bench the entire game. Also Utah won't continue shooting that well throughout the series. They were due.

I actually like Pop's decision to put the all suck team in at the end and let the Jazz feel good running up the score on the Vaughn, Beno, Cisco tandem. Every point differential that went up is another slap in the face to a team that should dominate the series if they bother to show up. Good chance they show up in 4.

Did we really expect anything more for this game? We knew the Spurs would lay an egg at sometime. In a weird way, I was kind of hoping for this loss. I completely agree with Jeff Van Gundy when he said this kind of loss will hep the Spurs more than the Jazz. I would be concerned had the Spurs lost a close game tonight. If that happened then the Jazz would still feel uneasy and play with even more fire, but now it's their turn to become complacent. They're a young team that is now probably thinking they can do what they did in the Houston series. However, this is the Spurs, not the Rockets. The Spurs always respond after a loss, especially after a blowout loss. A win on Monday will completely demolish this young team (at least for this series).

Look, the Spurs aren't going to get the good side of the calls in SLC. Once upon a time, fans took home-court advantage seriously, and harangued and intimidated the officials all game long. Boston Garden was famous for that. God help the ref who called against the Celtics.

Jazz fans are old-school like that. Tip your hat to 'em. They paid for those tickets and they're going to get their money's worth riding the officials. You aren't going to intimidate a three-time champion, but maybe you can get under the skin of a paunchy middle-aged guy just looking to get home in one piece. That's part of the game. Spurs have to play through it and not fold like a cheap suit.

You're giving their fans way too much credit. Tonight was the usual from Delaney and Rush given this situation (a team up 2-0, home team facing sweep, etc.).

I don't buy the whole "refs are scared of the crowd" bull ...if they really felt their lives were in danger, they'd just get a police escort or have bodyguards. Referees are not intimidated by the fans...that's a myth.

The Spurs sucked tonight and lost big...they will wake up and win the next two and close it out.

Well, in any event the officials aren't the difference in a 26-point blowout. The Jazz stepped up and the Spurs stank.

It has nothing to do with the officials being scared for their lives. But, yeah, a good intense crowd can get the home cooking going. Remember Jack Nicholson in LA a couple years back? Anyway, the Jazz fans are good at it, and it's part of why it's so hard to win in Utah in the playoffs.

Spurs will lose Game 4 as well.

    On the bright side...

The Finals start Thursday, June 7. No need to let the rust build up for 10 days, as it would have been with a sweep. Besides, it's another home game and another million dollars for the Spurs' organization.

...and that's looking at the bright side. Meanwhile, the Spurs still haven't won a playoff game in Utah.
