I actually like our draw. I would have rather gone to Wichita, but having to play UT if we won that would have sucked. Beating arKy and Mizzou are both fathomable, however I'm not sure if we deserve to be anywhere after losing 6 in a row.
For 12 Days in June, Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium is Heaven.

The Beavs are in even though we finished 10-14 in the Pac-10. I like our regional, we can win that.
Wichita State actually got a fairly favorable draw. Arizona & Oral Roberts are good teams, but WSU was lucky that they weren't made the 2 seed in their own regional.
Yes, but they have to play UT if they win.
The Shockers have been so helter skelter the past few weeks, even making it out of their regional is far from a given.
That said, if they can get things clicking, they have pitching to more than match-up with UT (or anybody else).
Now, there are a lot of teams that will like their match-ups with anybody when they are clicking, but very few teams have legitimate power arms like Schaeffer and Banwart on their rosters. Those are 2 friday starters in the big 12.
Despite being the first #1 seed to lose a game, WSU comes up through the losers bracket and wins their regional.
With UT's loss, that gives the Shockers a home super regional and you'd have to think they'd be the favorites against Irvine, despite how good they were in TX this past weekend.
Oregon State/Virginia winner hosts Michigan, as the Wolverines didn't even put in a token Super Regional Bid. Be nice to see the team in person again this weekend.
GO BEAVS!!!
Beavs win 7-3! Oregon State will host a super-regional in Corvallis. GO BEAVS!
Michigan is in the midst of a huge stadium renovation, and I am guessing that is the reason Michigan declined to put in a bid to host the Super Regional.
That was my understanding. Lucky for the Beavs!
How's this for the Shockers' pitching line in a regional championship game:
Banwart - 7.2 IP, 12 K, 2 HA, 0 runs allowed
Krol - 1.1 IP, 4 K, 0 HA, 0 runs allowed
Shox can pitch with anybody in the country, just a question of whether or not their sticks are going.
They had access to a minor league park, but still didn't put in a bid. Baseball is not a money-making sport at Michigan anyway. Thank you Ann Arbor (who is a BTW).
