Wow. I know not all Marines are tough-as-nails, kill-you-in-your-sleep types, but why would you punch a Marine, with other Marines standing nearby, on Memorial Day? That's dumb.

Sad.Fighting with the Marines was another thing which was just saddening to watch. These Marines had been the color guard for the National Anthem before the game. I missed how the initial exchange began, but it involved a basketball which had been slingshot into the stands. It looked to me as it bounced near one fan, than up to the Marines. The fan than got into the Marines face and actually punched the Marine, the Marine was held back by two of his buddies. They argued heatedly for a few minutes before an elderly gentleman calmed the situation down. Shortly there after security came and asked the Marines, and the row to leave the game.
Sorry they don't, they dont even get as much publicity in Salt Lake as the baseball team in Orem.
Nice write up and pictures. Shame the game ended on that sour note with the bad apple fans.

They have some talent, but they have been in a nasty fight with our nutcase mayor about a stadium. plus they lose every game.

I was wondering when you'd show up, seeing as you were one of the first Jazz fans to post here.
I've been meaning to come here since the end of the Warriors series, but just never found time.
I wanted the Jazz to face the Spurs, even though they could probably have beaten Phoenix or atleast have a better chance to do so. but had they, and they won the le it would forever have been an asterix. The Spurs on the otherhand are the real contender in the west. the Suns and Mavericks may have better records and be funner to watch, but they've never accomplished anything, the Spurs have.
If there is a game six I will have more pictures and another recap.

Row 22 for game 3, and Row 13 for game 4. both in the upper bowl.
I had high expectations for Freddy Adu but they've been tempered recently. I don't follow MLS much but hear his lack of speed will prevent him from becoming the superstar many thought he would be.

Not just the Marines got tossed, the entire row including myself were ejected by the Larry Miller Gustapo. the only person who wasn't tossed was the prick who started the fight.
