They always do this in pro sports so they can have the shirts on hand immediately. I have heard that they do give the losing team's shirts to third world countries and such but I'm not sure how true that is.
... Or donated to 3rd world countries after this game?
Utah Jazz WC Champions
Hopefully the NBA was smart and didn't make too many of them...

They normally just start out by making one set for both teams (for the post game locker room celebrations). Then they start producing a full set for the winning team, while the other team's set gets "destroyed", don't quite know what that means, but still.
I know, I was just being funny. Buzz killers.
that's funny. Maybe I could laugh @ somebody wearing that t-shirt around here.
Now seriously, I have never seen NBA official items being sold in that terms around here.
You can see lot of non official stuff but none of the official merchadise is BS.
They make more than just the locker room shirts. Academy will open after the game tonight assuming Spurs win and will already have the WCF Champion tees and hats in stock.
I really wanted a Mavs NBA champs tshirt but didn't want to have to go to Somalia to get it.
i'll buy one or two.
this winning never gets old.
it probably cost like 5 cents to make one of those shirts. I wouldn't be too concerned about whether the NBA is losing money
I should definitely pick one of those up.
Good god man, I was being facetious about it and was implying that the Spurs are gonna beat down the Jazz thus making this the fashion staple of Angelina and Brad's children.
There are thousands of Sudanese who think that Dallas won the NBA championship, I hear.
I like this one better...

there was an article in the paper a while back about how they send unused Super Bowl Champion shirts to Africa, and that it's illegal to sell them here.
