Thanks to all the doubters in media

I say thanks for all the criticism and doubting of the Spurs, for calling them boring and even dirty. Thanks for highlighting Kobe's antics and building the hype around the Suns, Mavs and other more exciting, athletic teams. I really mean it, THANKS A LOT.

By now, its a given that SA plays its best when its being written off as too old, too slow. But like all great champions, Spurs use the criticism and disrespect as fuel motivating them to greater heights. There's no wasted energy and emotion, no distractions to alter their focus. Maybe that's why i had a bad feeling going into game 3 against the Jazz with everyone extolling the Spurs in games 1&2 and true enough, the Spurs were just flat and got embarrassed badly. IMO, the Spurs lost the "appropriate fear" that Pop talked about.

So please, those in the media, do the Spurs a favor and remain consistent and at all cost, no more praises. They can't afford to feel good about themselves too much - there will be enough time for that after they win the championship.
