i wasnt hear when they won in 05, so im kind of rooting for the Spurs to win it all just to see what a wonderful environment this place turns into

For a second there, you almost won at life. Almost.
It was really strange last time. We had a bunch of detroit fans troll us that turned into good knowledgeable posters that stayed when the finals were over. Thats why they have their own forum here.
That was such a tough fought series that it turned into a mutual admiration lovefest after game 7.

I know this post is tongue-and-cheek in a way but why do people who hate the Spurs, continue to enforce that they DO hate the Spurs... and yet post at SPURStalk.com?
Most Spurs fans didn't respect the Pistons before the Finals in 2005. Some still say that the officiating is the only reason the Pistons extended the series past G4.
Spur Fan in the Finals was pretty funny. The desperation, panic and pure chaos that followed the first two Spurs' losses to Detroit was epic. I enjoyed it.
It was a blast in '05.
It's going to be a blast now.
Especially for those of us not living in San Antonio. This board is our lifeline to other Spurs fans.
The Spurs won't win the championship. And if they do win the championship, it will be a fluke, because of Michael Finley, who is a fluke player hitting fluke shots.
But if the Spurs win, they are just winning games they are supposed to win. Finley is nothing special.
Now if the Spurs played Brent Barry, who is the greatest shooting guard in the history of the Spurs, they would sweep. Detroit and Cleveland aren't even good teams. They are just fluke teams winning fluke games in a fluke conference.
Anyone who says Finley > Barry knows nothing about basketball and is a hater and a fluke.

It was terrific and happy and feel good.
The panic before that though - that was a roller coaster of a series, man.
The panic after game 3, the anger after game 4, and the desperation after game 6. . .
Yeah. The elation lasted for awhile and then the bickering over who the real Finals MVP was and who we needed to sign/draft and so on.

yeah there are three ocassions that i would like to have been here to witness
1) Spurs winning a championship
