7 pts last series against Utah, I repeat 7!!

He played well in the Denver series, and we all know what happened in the Phoenix series, but at some point the Spurs will need him again, and he will need to do better than 7 pts in 5 games.

    Game 5

    It was over when...

1st Quarter, two consecutive plays: steal inbounds pass, force turnover after inbound pass, 8-point swing

Horry definitely put his stamp on that game

7 points is 3 more than he averaged during the regular season.

Horry's not a superstar he's just a role player with a knack for hitting big shots.

that was 7 pts in 5 games, not 1.

he is a 7 ppg performer in the playoffs for his career

Just? Don't trivialize the fact that for the majority of his career he was a versatile defender who could guard the 3-5 and sometimes even the 2. He was also a deceptively decent rebounder and shot blocker.

And it was not a knack for hitting big shots, like he was in the right place at the right time, a happy victim of cir stance. Horry WANTED to take those big shots and welcomed the moments.

That is all a bit more than "just" a role player. Superstar? No. HOFer? No. But he ain't Matt Bonner either.

his point is, it's not all about scoring as a role player, he made an impact last night, by forcing turnovers and hustling............

    Thank you.

Rob's contribution is intangibles and timely plays, who cares how many points he scores?

I think he did very well in limited minutes. The guy is clutch he comes through when we really need it.

He didn't have to score, so didn't bother. I'm sure that's the case... I hope.

I can't think of one time in that series that we needed him to hit a shot. It would be one thing if he was jacking up 8 to 10 shots a game and came away with 7 pt in 5 games, but he hardly shot at all.
