That's it. If the league wanted to place Lebron in the finals, they surely would have suspended him. No more conspiracy talk - it's all down to basketball now.
McDyess will not face additional discipline from league
McDyess received a flagrant-2 foul after he unexpectedly clotheslined Varejao under the basket and was ejected. On Friday, league spokesman Tim Frank said McDyess will not face any more discipline.
That's good news for the Pistons, who trail the Cavs 3-2 in the Eastern Conference finals going into Saturday's Game 6 at Quicken Loans Arena. One of Detroit's top reserves, McDyess played just four minutes in the Pistons' 109-107 double-overtime loss.
McDyess' hard foul on Varejao drew a passionate response from Cleveland's LeBron James, who jumped over his fallen teammate and tried to confront McDyess as the referees and other players tried to keep order.
James was given a technical foul for charging after McDyess.
McDyess' ejection forced Pistons coach Flip Saunders to alter his rotations and he had to play Jason Maxiell and Dale Davis more than usual. James was able to exploit Maxiell, twice driving around the second-year forward for dunks down the stretch on his way to a career playoff-high 48 points.

If Detroit comes back from 3-2, you think losers like fast dunk will blame Stern for not suspending McDyess?
I don't think he deserved a suspension. It wasn't that bad anyway. He didn't get his neck or head, just his right shoulder and left arm... lifeguards do the same every day.
Anyway, now Detroit has a chance for game 6. Without McDyess, they have no depth down low. Oh wait, Nazr!!! I forgot. Nevermind.
Just goes to show that you can beat the out of your opponent and get a slap on the wrist. What's the flagrant count up to now? 9 or 10 with one suspension? Thats the problem, a lame rule(suns) gets a suspension but a foul that could cause serious harm doesn't. Can we start calling the league the WWE now?
McDyess is not even top 5 player in Pistons![]()
The whole Cavs bench staid on the bench during their altercation, why couldnt the Suns?
So any blow in the neck/head area is automatically "clotheslining" now??
bears repeating.
Ask Rudy Tomjanovich if he was in serious harm while he was lying on the floor with spinal fluid draining into his mouth.
The way it should be.
Has it been discussed in the conspiracy conversations that the Spurs are actually good for Stern's global reach? (Sorry if I missed it, I couldn't find it anywhere and search is turned off.)
If so, a quick mention of Utah beating Houston would shut them up.
And btw, McDyess foul was much, much harder than Horry's foul
I'm not saying what's right and what's wrong, but I think there were different things that were taken into consideration. And, Charles alluded to this last night, but McDyess' flagrant happened in the first quarter and he was ejected. Horry's flagrant happened at the end of the game. McDyess got a de facto suspension for last night's game. Horry's ejection cost him a few seconds of game 4. Not saying that's right or wrong to consider, just that it was probably considered when determining whether there should have been a suspension or not.
Horry got two games because Stoudemire and Diaw didn't stay on the bench.
dude was thrown out in the beginning of the game and missed 3 full qts and 2 OT
his absence cost the Pistons 1 game, makes no sense to further punish him
And thus it's SAS in the Finals instead of Utah or Phx.
If you say so. Whatever soothes your hurties.
Who was suspended from Utah?
You guys were the ones whining about Vacations...didn't even want to win...![]()
You make people think that Jazz fans are dumb with statements like this.
So....uh....stop.
Well, I'm glad for the Pistons and McDyess that he was not suspended, given that I don't think it was an intention to hurt. But it does solidify my belief that Horry's suspensions were total crap and makeup overtures. Others may disagree, which is fine; I don't wish to debate the merit of my opinion on this particular topic, since it is now firmly irrelevant.
The F2 on McD was bull . A suspension would have been a travesty.
Although it is irrelevant, I totally agree with you. Even if, as Barkley argued, McDyess served a de facto suspension because he missed most of the game, Horry served a two game suspension. IMHO his hip check was even less suspension-worthy than the clothesline move by McDyess.
I like the Pistons, I like McDyess, and I'm glad that he didn't get suspended, but it makes the Horry matter look like complete bull .
How do you figure? The Suns, barring the suspensions, very well could have, and in my mind WOULD have, beaten the Spurs in 7 games. Given our matchups with them it's wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility that Utah would have beaten them. Shoulda, coulda, woulda, I know but I don't get to see my tem til November so I need something to pass the time.
Do you post on a jazz board anywhere or just here? Just wondering.
