    Are you aware that the Cowboys play in Irving, near Dallas, and not in San Antonio? It is reflected in their name: "The Dallas Cowboys."

    Perhaps this thread could be better led as "Best 15 Years in Pro Sports History for Vatos on the Southside."

    This is not the place or Forum to debate what NFL team most San Antonio RESIDENTS are tied to.

    But I defer....... I am a San Antonio born and Raised Vato. And it has been an exciting ride for gringos and vatos. PENDEJO!

    Football Teams generally have Statewide followings.

    Hmm even some other Communities other than the Spurs hometown root for the Spurs and call them their own right?

    But I digress. I am sorry for offending the geniuses on this board.

    To say that San Antonio has plenty of Cowboys fans is one thing. But to claim the Cowboys as part of San Antonio sports history is another. Big difference.

    On top of that, I never understood why San Antonio residents loath Dallas and their Mavericks fans, yet they'll stand side-by-side with them while rooting for their football team.

    I am from San Antonio and my team is the Colts. The Cowboys winning SB's in the 90s was nothing but a big yawn.

    1973 state football championship, Robt E Lee Highschool. I was Soph bench warmer, but it was still better than any Dallas Cowboy victory.
