From the Suns AOL board by "SunsPhxSuns":

    >>After the outrageous "GIFT" David Stern and Stu Jackson gave to the Spurs, I've become a CAV'S fan for the finals. Go CAVS - the team that wins is the team that deserves to be in the finals, not one that was helped to get there by the NBA.

"The team that wins is the team that deserves to be in the finals" ... wtf is that supposed to mean? Spurs won so they are in the finals. Sun fan agrees and is too stupid to realize it.

Obviously the conspiratorial Stern of the internets would want the LeBrons to win the Finals. So Sun Fan is now cheering for the Conspiracy?

The Suns fans were in whine mode way before game four. If Amare and Diaw hadn't left the bench we'd be hearing about how the blood rule needs to be changed and how David Stern is the debbol for not suspending Bowen. If Nash hadn't gotten a bloody nose and hadn't flopped into Bowen we'd be hearing about how the Suns deserved to win because Manu kicked Amare in the nuts.

Something tells me the Suns are never winning a le in the Nash era and this will be an issue for these guys 50 years from now. How they feel this was their le that was taken from them.

Anything to get noticed eh? Whatever the heck they need to see to get noticed. They can and wine all they want about Amare and Diaw but how many other guys were on the bench? How many other guys didn't get off the bench cause they knew they'd get in trouble? Just cause your a major part of the team doesn't mean you can just jump and try to stop a "fight."

I love how Bowen is a dirty player but he cant rack up fouls at all. People just cant stand an intense defense. He's done it year in and year out and I think the league is pretty aware of how he plays, Mark Cuban sure has brought it up a billion times.

All and all I respect the Suns and like watching them play maybe one day in the future they'll shut up and stop whining. At least when Barkley was on the team they didn't whine this much.

David Stern and the leaving the bench rule probably saved Amare's life. If Amare gets hurt so bad by having his shoe stepped on or getting a knee to his nuts, a punch might kill him.

Spurs would've won the series even if those guys hadn't been suspended. What did they get out of Diaw in G6, like 1 point and 1 rebound in 13 minutes? Yeah, they really missed him. Spurs won three games just fine despite Amare, and they only lost G4 because of Duncan's foul trouble.

Look, I hate the Spurs just as much as the next non-San Antonioan*, but give them credit. Duncan is the best big in the League right now, they peaked at the right time, and they play together as a team on both ends of the court. And damn, Duncan just turned 31. He's still got three primo years left, at least.

    * Is that the correct term for a native of San Antonio?

I agree! We lost Game 3 to the Jazz because of the no calls on the Jazz's defense of Duncan! ASTERICK!

Those people are stupid. However, I am cheering for the Cavs, which is so ironic because I think Varejao is a tool, Gooden is an idiot, Damon Jones is worthless, Daniel Gibson is a T-sip, and don't get me started on Donyell Marshall.

It's gonna be like the time I had to cheer for the Pacers and *gasp* Reggie Miller against the Lakers...

    Good basketball = LeBron dominating

Better basketball = Varejao flopping and getting Pop thrown out every game.

Hey, I totally bandwagoned onto Miami last year for the Finals. I would have rooted for anyone that was not a Maverick. I ing hated them last year. So I get it.

Plus, you have to admit when you take the homer blinders off, that it was really ty of the league not only to suspend Amare and Boris, but also to refuse to allow the Suns to play in game 6. I thought that simply declaring the Spurs winners because they'd won uncontested game 3 (have to throw out game 1 because Tony Parker tried to break Steve Nash's nose, and throw out game 5 because of the suspensions) was totally unfair, since the Suns should have been given the opportunity to win game 6 and force a game 7 on their homecourt. I mean, the Suns killed them in games 2 and 4, so when they just chose a winner instead of playing game 6, it clearly should have been the Suns, since they were really up 2-1. If you weren't such homers, you'd see that.

Actually, the Spurs were supposed to throw game six and allow it to go to game seven in order to remove the taint, because the Suns fans would never have gone back and pointed to the seven game series as proof that they are the peoples' conference finalist.
