Who has the cleanest beach right now? We are going down there on Tuesday and a month ago North Padre was loaded with seaweed and ty beaches.... Is it any better?

Just tough out the extra couple of hours and go to SOUTH Padre Island. It's always beautiful.
Went to Port Aransas this weekend. Although the beaches had quite a bit of seaweed on them, the water was really clean and cool.
We always go to Port A.

Why not just throw some sand around a baby pool?
Went to Port Aransas a few weeks ago and there was a lot of seaweed on the beaches. They were clearing it up when we were there but the stuff stretched out miles and miles. They said it was like that because the birds didn't have enough to eat or something along those lines.
Anyway yeah... dirty.
At least there's cheap gas!
If you are going to the Port A area, you should just go to the Padre Island National Seashore. It costs a few bucks to get in there but it's clean.
Malaquite Park: North Padre Island. $20 for a yearly vehicle pass. Indoor showers to remove as much of the sand before returning to your vehicle. Get there at 7:30 AM for cooler temperatures.
Port Aransas was brown and loaded with seaweed from 1999-2001, and I'm sure it's only got worse.

I heard they cleaned up the beach a lot from a few months ago.you should be good.

Went to Port A today. It was ty... but.... it was the first time I've ever been and the water was come, minimal wind. etc.
