Tomorrow is my frist final, in hate 'em, I don't feel like studying.
Theyre not AS bad as they sound.. but they take so much damn time. i don't know why they throw the finals in the last week of school, right when all the students are into summer mode & forget everything.I had mine last week, i'm already done with school, but maybe cause I took the time and studied.. but they really do suck.

1st Period: English Final is having a party
2nd Period: Economics I opted not to do the final and took 20 percent off my grade
3rd Period: Weight Training: Lift weights/play some basketball
4th Period: Psychology: Chances are we are having a party
5th Period: Calculus AB We took our final before Spring Break, so we are having a party
6th Period: Film Study we're having a vocab test/Essay and it's a easy.
Senior year is a joke. Actually all of high school was a joke, I'm not using anything I learned in that time period in real life situations.
I ahven't started studying yet for any finals. My first is tomorrow.

I used to think people who want to homeschool their children are gluttons for punishment, but I'm beginning to understand the motivation.
How is film study a class in high school? We can't get funding for music anymore, but we're teaching high schoolers how to watch movies?

I have a 96% in that class, and I don't need to study for that class. Last semester, I got 100% on that final, so f studying for english
The reason of my easy Finals schedule is that I'm a senior and it's OVAH, the teachers understand that we've had enough of testing and frankly we don't need anymore, because what is one extra test going to do to prepare us for the next level? Nothing. Film Study is actually not what you think. We watch movies which teach us about American lifestyle, culture, and history. We're not watching movies like Nightmare on Elm St, we're watching movies like Casablanca, American Beauty, One Flew over the Cuckoo's nest etc.....
It's also a class for people who are thinking of majoring into film to see how it would be, and we just DON"T watch movies, we write essays on the themes and deeper meanings and have socratic seminars on film techniques, devices, themes, and analysis. Also, the teacher that teaches it is probably the best teacher at my school and doesn't let BS slide.
Also, the reason people can't get funding for music is that nobody wants it. Who wants to see a bunch of amateurs murder other peoples work?
Also, the Film Class is funded by my teacher he provides all the movies out of his own paycheck.

Your high school doesn't have Weight Training? I've been taking that for 3 years, it's fun, easy and the teacher is cool.
