I used to end every telephone conversation with that phrase -- or a reminder that there's no basement at the Alamo.
Just said something along the lines of...
'Go Spurs Go has replaced Remember The Alamo as the most said phrase in San Antonio.'
Which got me to thinking...
Do yall remember the good ol' days, back in the early 90's, when you would see another San Antonian and say, "Hey, what's up... Remember The Alamo!!!"...
or is that just me?![]()

Springer >>>> Geraldo
or Gerlado.
I am the real Geraldo, that other f*ck couldn't even spell my name right

I don't think I ever remember hearing someone I knew ask me that or even say it to someoen else. The only time I heard it was on tv/in the movies.
i've been here since 86/87 and never heard people say that...
Some of you sound serious. That's seriously scary.
When I first moved to SA in 1973, it was a pretty common way that people said goodbye to each other. But then the Spurs came and, well, people just seemed to forget the Alamo.
