Spurs know this minutes will GREATLY increase for GM2, and the Spurs were just giving him open 3s and jump shots.
Hopefully pop makes sure he doesn't go off
and they need to knock him on his ass if he tries to go for a layup
I don't know that it was horrendous, he scored seven of his sixteen points in the last 1:53 when the game was already out of reach.
He did shoot seven for nine though and I do expect him to play about ten more minutes in game two..
He played 30 minutes and the only time he started getting open jumpers was when the Cavs were down by 12 with 3:00 to go. Try another tactic for your trolling pleasure.
I would guess that Pop's orders at that point was no 3-pointers, no layups or dunks, no fouls, let them shoot midrange shots.
The rookie will be shut down if he actually gets hot when it matters. He can't hit shots when there is a hand in his face which was his main problem at Texas.
