CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Cavaliers may be changing their starting lineup for tonight's Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs.
Guard Larry Hughes, who is dealing with torn tissue in his left foot, did not participate fully in today's shootaround. Rookie Daniel Gibson took some repe ions in his place.
Cavs coach Mike Brown and other players were non-committal about tonight's plans, but Hughes said he was not sure he would be able to play.
The Spurs lead the best-of-seven championship series 2-0. The teams meet at 9 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena.
Big surprise.
put an asterisk on games one and two if the Cavs win with Gibson starting at the PG
Another asterisk? Man, thats a lot of them! I'm running out!
Anyways, Go Spurs Go!

WTF?
Are you serious?
No. Obviously, it's a joke.
The only Asterisk the Spurs* have is
* Bad-ass muther- ers.
Let me guess......his rhythm is gonna be messed up, like Manu's is when he starts, too hyped and jumpy.
Or maybe he'll mess up our rhythm............nah!
Goddamn, if they keep this up we're never gonna hear the end of "we got lucky".

Good.
I think having Gibson guard Parker for extended stretches will take away Gibson's offensive game.
It may help them get off to a better start, but Gibson isn't going to play 48 minutes. Someone else will have to play some minutes at PG, and it will balance out in the end.
larry hughes is ing garbage.... who gave that dude all that money? worse contract in the league
I don't think it is quite the worst contract in the league. Hughes has a hurt foot and doesn't exactly fit well with the tempo the Cavs play at. That being said he does little for the Cavs and his abcence may actually help them. Of course as someone pointed out Gibson can't play 48 so they will likely give Eric Snow some more run, that isn't going to help the Cavs much either.
I would be happy if they started Gibson. I feel that he is a defensive liability at best...
well hopefully we can get him to guard Manu so Manu can trick and con him into fouling him :]
I'm sure that will be the take on PTI
You are a freakin idiot
I still got Spurs by a nipple.
About time they did this. But what I watched in Games 1 and 2 was this: cover his ass and he can't hit shots. Leave him wide open and he buries them.
yea he will definately space the floor more, but this gives them Z E R O bench production.
so...i dont really see it being a factor.
Gibson is going to get torched by Tony.
Do you think Gibson can actually guard Tony? , Tony may go for 40 tonight if they put Gibson on him for most of the game.
Tony will get his, but this will be Manu's night to explode. He LOVES hostile crowds. Our bench is finally gonna be the difference maker tonight.
