Many of you lambs are buying into this "LeBron showed his maturity after the game" crap. That he really grew up by referring to the final play as "incidental contact." Give me a break! He was blowing up at Delaney at the end of the game and making a spectacle of himself. You are on crack if you don't think Danny Ferry and Mike Brown got a hold of him after the game and told him to stop crying and to not make excuses in the press conference. He didn't look sincere for a moment during that press conference. Sure you want a player with fire and emotion, but please stop making Le out to be humble.

Those of you who think he is humble and mature...You are speaking of a guy who has "Chosen 1" tatooed all over his back. Real classy, real mature, and real humble!

Any NBA player would be expected to have a discussion with the ref after a play like that. Lebron didn't go ballistic or pull a Rasheed Wallace, so I don't know where anyone but a hater would get off calling what he did a "spectacle."

He was just CLEARLY fouled at the end of a crucial game on a play that would've sent him to the line to tie it up and give his team a chance to win....wouldn't YOU be pissed if you were in his shoes?

And I completely disagree that he was "blowing up" at Delaney....he was animated, but not disrespectful...and he had reason to be.

I'm not going to bash LeBron for his initial reaction and I'm not going to assume that he had to be pulled aside to be reminded to issue the standard "it didn't decide the game" speech. Notice he also didn't throw his teammates (Varajao with that rediculous 4th qtr play, and Boobie with his 1-10 night) under the bus as well.

Bottom Line: He DID show some class and maturity.

You are kidding me right? His ranting was on every sports station across the nation. When a Spurs player gets fouled, you don't see him staying on the court for 5 minutes after the game crying to a ref.

Maybe I am just a hater. I hate y, whiny players. Play with some class.

I have no problem with him going to the ref right after the play. Heat of the moment and he just lost a Finals game. I get that.

What others have done, and he didn't do, is go to the media.

He was starting to get out of control until Delaney told him to STFU! - Watch the replay of his whining. He is getting quite upset and Delaney says something to him. Le calms down because he doesn't want to pull a Stoudamire and get booted for the next game.

There's nothing wrong with complaining during the game. Just don't carry it around as the single reason your team lost the game just because it was the one thing out of your control. James deserves credit for manning up. Period.

LOL Pop - It is a coaches job to have his players back and about calls. NOT the players! Play the game and don't whine. Pop has his players back. I wouldn't be ing if Brown was calling out the refs.

Last time I checked - Bruce and Manu didn't have Chosen 1 and Witness tatooed all over them.

    Idiot!

Why is it so hard to see LeBUNG was coached after the games in the Finals. Here is a quote from an article....

general manager Danny Ferry and his assistant Lance Blanks took control of the situation, demanding from everyone that no excuses would be made. Hence, the quote from both Mike Brown and LeBron James: "We're a no-excuses team.

I fell he was being a smart ass. He got the no call he deserved, the ref's did him a favor giving him the chance to tie the game. Who says that if the ball went in they wouldn't call the late whistle for the chance to win on a FT?

Basically, you're using his tattoos as an avenue to criticize him. Moronic. I saw nothing in his post-game reaction on the court warrants non-homer criticism. He told the ref I was fouled, that's it. He didn't show them up, he didn't curse or pitch a fit a'la Nash in Game 6 (during the course of the game).

He comported himself well in the post-game conferences, and deserves props for that. Unlike other stars we've seen this post-season, he didn't use that isolated (non)call as a crutch for them losing.

    That was a classy move.

Duncan about calls all the time, Finley discusses it with officials, players are SUPPOSED to do that.
When people talked about Duncan's whining, us Spurs fans usually go "But that stays on the court, which is acceptable, he never does it to the press." So now Lebron does the same thing, and he's a hypocrite? Seems like you need to look in the mirror.

Ummm...No - I am using his tatoos to show how full of himself he is. What kind of a person tatoos Chosen 1 on his back. ummmm..... Maybe one who thinks he is God's gift to basketball. Give me a break. The dude is young and y. I'm sure he is starting his growing process and having his ass kicked all over the court is helping. His is is learning how to deal with the media from his coaches and management.

I would be just a critical of Duncan if he got a tatoo similar to LeBUNG's. But Tim is humble and classy. He is the best PF to ever play the game. LeBUNG has a long way to go to even be spoken with the best guards of all time and he is donning that tattoo. GMAFB!

    Lame thread.

Lebron is a great player, and I respect him and his class. I don't get why we have to hate good players just because they are on the opposing team...

especially when we are beating said team 3-0.

Have some class and give Lebron some props.

No, you're judging someone based on his past (and youthful mistakes) rather than his current behaviour. Lebron has given the Spurs more props than any other star they have played this postseason.

Is that part of practice during the season? Do scouts look for good ers when the kids are in high school and college?

    LOL
