It could be like the Civil War all over again.
what if they went north-south instead of east-west? truly horrible east teams and great west teams suddenly even out, i'd think.
It could be like the Civil War all over again.
Where were the calls for a change in the playoff format when the East won 8 out of 10 les from '89 to '98? The East won the le in '04 and '06, in case some have forgotten. The influence of the Northeastern media markets on this nation's sports coverage sucks.
good point.
well, most of that was due to michael jordan. it had nothing to do w/ east-west imbalance. the bulls (ie, jordan) were just that much better than the rest of the league.
I demand the east stop sucking.
It's been the Spurs or the East since '03.
the seeding as is is boring
they need to mix things up
yeah, but without the bloodshed, carnage, brother-vs-brother and slavery on the line parts.
So what? People are whining that the Spurs are so much better that they need to re-seed so they can be playing Phoenix or Dallas in the Finals.
All that's changed is the jersey on the back - from 23 to 21.
North-south would increase travel time greatly. Miami and Orlando and Atlanta would have to play LAL, LAC, and PHO, for example, 1 or 2 more times a season than they do now. . It's not going to happen.
private jets. they'd be alright.
No Keep Tradition The Way It Is.
how about they take away the east and west and division things and just the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs, kinda like college. What do yall think?
I think it's nothing a couple of good GMs couldn't fix. Chicago, Orlando and Cleveland are on the right track.
The South will rise again!
