......that is crazy off the hook entertaining.....too bad all those fools are NBA rejects and when faced with playing fundamentally sound basketball like THE SPURS......they suck ass. Much like the Suns, and Mavericks.

So name a "thug" on the And1 tour then. Or do you not even know what the you're talking about, and you're just making judgements on something that you've never taken the time to learn about?
And1 Ball is no different than Arena Football - it's a gimmicky version of the original sport where the more "exciting" and "flashy" parts of the game are emphasized in order to draw a crowd. Is anyone calling Arena Football a bunch of "tatooed thugs"?

Thugs or not they are cool to watch every once in a while if you like the game of basketball. To see the possibilities of what people can do with a basketball is pretty cool.

ill watch them every once in awhile but it sure is annoying to play with people that try to do that crap or think they are great players. can't stand playing pickup games with and1 wanna bes on my team.

Two summers ago, I got to cover the And1 event in San Antonio and I remember talking with a couple of the guys and more than one said they knew they weren't making the NBA and were there to entertain. I remember Spyda specifically.
One guy was (he wasn't on the And1 team, he was on the traveling team) trying to get into the league, though.
Yeah, sure. Playing in the NBA is never on their minds.
Their "Streetball God" Rafer Alston aka Skip to my Lou was their greatest player ever and he went to the NBA. There he only managed to be an average back up PG at best.
And the Globetrotters played to entertain, but they dont travel, carry the ball and arent such y "ballerz".
Well I just watched a And 1 episode and A.O. said it best. No NBA for me, streetball is my job. Where else can you play ball like a fool and get payed for it?
Thanks, but no thanks. I can maybe watch a couple of minutes of AND1 dribbling highlights but Id rather watch a full WNBA game than a full game of "StreetBallaz".

The NBA is about championships.....with entertainment to wow the crowd possible.
If all NBA teams played like AND1....ratings would go through the roof, but it would NOT be real basketball.
Im black and some of those fools are thugs......they way they talk and act proves it. Sorry, but dude was correct to a point.
Maybe I overstated my case by suggesting that the And1 troupe were all tattooed thugs. Clearly they are not, although some of them are. Don't take it as a racial slur -- I equally despise white guys and Mexicans who act like they're from the projects. And New Orleans is crawling with them.
My real concern is the "streetball" marketing, and the tattooed thugs that really do show up for these things. I'll never go to one of these things.
