Eh, let's see them win the game tonight first. There'll be plenty of time to discuss things like this in the summer, should they win this series.
Not trying to jinx us or anything and we have to win one more game, but no team has ever come back in a best of 7 series in the NBA Finals down 3-0 and Cleveland can't do it to this Spurs team.
A lot of talk about dynasty lately.
I think most NBA fans and most Spurs fans would agree that if we can repeat next year, then we are a dynasty without dispute.
If we don't repeat, the debate is still open for most fans.
Repeating next year would mean that we won 4 of 6.
Considering how many teams there are, winning 3 of the last 5 is impressive, but still leaves room for doubt about whether Spurs are a dynasty.
But win next year and no reasonable doubt for most reasonable fans remains: Spurs become a dynasty.
No matter what happens next year, Spurs in the Tim Duncan era have been a dominant force and the best team of this decade. And that all by itself is impressive.

Okay, fair enough.
Maybe this was a premature thread.
A thread before it's time. My apologies.
I hope to be back later tonight to revisit this thread after the game.
But it is quite possible we lose tonight (but definitely don't see anyway at all the Cavs are coming back to take the series).
Seriously lets win tonight bask in the glory of the le for a while and then start up this other stuff. There is a chance we can lose tonight. We come out flat and they bring it and we can get beat. Lets not go crazy yet.
I believe we are a dynasty now. This should be 5 in a row.
(.4 and last years bs called Dallas series)
some good points.
not like we couldn't have won it in 04 or 06.
and some losses are clearly linked to health issues - like last year.
a good case can be made and you have advanced some solid points in favor of it.
Birds Celtic team only won 3 altogether, right?
I don't think that they repeated.
Magic's Lakers did.
Jordan's Bulls did lots of repeating.
Shaq and Kobe's Lakers did it as well.
The Spurs won't repeat, they never do. they are not a Dynasty.
I'd rather them win it every other year than to not win at all.![]()
You make it seem like that's a bad thing to win 3 out of 8 years![]()
It's a bad thing to not repeat at least once...
So it's a bad thing to win les.
im guessing it is since no other team has won more in the last decade!!!
It's pretty badass to be one of four teams with 4 or more les.
Celtics
Lakers
Bulls
SPURS
It will be depressing when Duncan retires.
Is Larry Bird's Celtics a dynasty in your eyes?
