I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "closing streak."
Posted this elsewhere, but wanted to make the point.
10-1: the Spurs' closing streak in these playoffs (WWWWLWWWWWW)
16-4: the Spurs' playoff record (4-1; 4-2; 4-1; 4-0).
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "closing streak."
Spurs won 10 of their last 11 playoff games.
fricking awesome run.
Overruling the playoff run of the '96 Bulls (15-3) no less, thanks to the expansion on the first round.
Spurs cement their place in history by besting the best of the best.
Oh...thanks for explaining.![]()
After that Game 4 loss against Phoenix the Spurs could have given up or they could become an even more cohesive, winning unit.
I'm glad they picked the second option.
Yep thats total domination, not to mention spurs are 4-0 in the finals only the bulls can claim that with 6-0. A 1000% winning %, not bad.
Far and away the best record in the new playoff format.
2003 San Antonio Spurs, 16-8 (.667)
2004 Detroit Pistons, 16-7 (.696)
2005 San Antonio Spurs, 16-7 (.696)
2006 Miami Heat, 16-7 (.696)
2007 San Antonio Spurs, 16-4 (.800)
The 2007 Spurs combined record (regular season plus playoffs) was 74-28; this makes a winning percentage of .726, the second-best combined winning percentage in club history behind the 1999 team (.776).
Just love these stats, makes me smile. Just thinking about much the media hates us winning , its even that much better..
Giving up is just not Spurs style!
As much as I dislike Pop (or some of his decisions) I give him and TheBig3 credit for pushing team forward.
I hate to say it, but i think one has to admit that the (stupidity-induced) suspensions helped at least a little
The Spurs have given up in the playoffs before. Some Laker series bring up bad memories.
But god damn if they didn't learn and grow from that a good god damn deal.
Props Spurs.
The Rock Has Been POUNDED.
amazing spurs!
