I say at Number one, he is proven and he does make it easy for others, and he has the rings to show it.

Well, he has to be top five because he has helped his team to three trophies. I don't know where in the top five. I am glad he is with the Spurs though.

I want to put him at #1 after this Finals, but I can't. Still have to put Steve Nash there at the top.

And along with Parker, Baron Davis and Deron Williams are pretty amazing. Even old Jason Kidd can still put up startling numbers. Chris Paul I don't know enough about. Who else is there? I feel like I'm forgetting someone.

In any case, I put Parker in the top 5, and maybe the top 3.

Steve Nash is the best point guard.
I put Deron Williams second. People have slept on him because he plays in Utah.
Kidd I put third, but he's at the age where he will only be near the top for a couple more years.
    Next I put Parker.
Baron Davis is brilliant when he's healthy, but...
Chris Paul is a better natural point guard than Parker, but isn't near the indomitable scorer.
    Next comes Billups.

The guy averaged a triple double in the playoffs.

    AVERAGED a TRIPLE DOUBLE.

I love tony parker, but if he could get to 8 assists a game let alone 10, i'd be damn happy.

For the Spurs, he might be the best fit. He's a scorer and a playmaker who doesn't need the ball that much to be effective. His passing is often questioned but he was second in the league in assists that lead to three-pointers. And defensively, he was pretty dominant in the playoffs.

Considering his Game 1 explosion and his defense on Barbosa all series, he might have been the MVP of the Suns series too.

Nash is hamstrung by having D'Antoni as a coach. Nash is one of the few Suns who is a gamer rather than a pussy.

I want to see if Deron Williams ends up being more Deron Williams of the first two rounds of the playoffs or Deron Williams of the WCF. In the first two rounds, he averaged like 16.5 points and 8.5 assists on sub-40% shooting. Then against the Spurs, he exploded for 26 points, 8 assists on 53% shooting in that series.

But against San Antonio, Williams was being guarded by Bowen and that's a pretty major speed mismatch. That had to be part of the reason why he went Michael Jordan on the Spurs in the WCF.

Williams is good but if Baron Davis can hold you to under 39% in a series, you still have room to improve.
