I wouldn't call it so much a failure for this year, as the Cavs weren't expected to win, unlike the Browns (twice) who had meltdowns against Denver.
I was thinking about that ABC promo during game 3. Anyways this latest failure really needs a nick name and it needs to go along with all the previous nick names.
1954's The Catch
1987's The Drive
1988's The Fumble
1989's The Shot
2007's The Sweep
What do you guys think would be a good nick name?

How about "Playing a vastly superior team and getting our lunches handed to us, as 99% of us expected?"
ABC can go blow itself.
I agree, what were the odds on the Cavs making the Finals at the beginning of the season, at the ASG and at the beginning of the playoffs?
It was a successful year for them.
Yeah, I think 2007 for the Cavs might be called The Mismatch.
The Cleveland Cavliers have better days in front of them.
i like that
The Over-Achievers
I think that's accurate. The Cavs weren't expected to be in the Finals, and when they got their they weren't expected to do anything.
The Lebronski Over-Acheivers.
How about:
The finals when....
"The 'Chosen One' could hit an open J"
No you can't call this by a name because it doesn't compare to all those mentioned before it. HOWEVER...check this out:
Northeast Ohio sports fans can be living history. In 5 of the major sports' championships our teams could get beat down in all of them. I'm not including the NHL becuase a) we don't have a team, b) it would ruin this theory c) nobody watches that anyway. But with the Indians in first place, we would only need the Browns to step-up and lose in the Super Bowl
- Buckeyes lost in Football NC (lost is putting it nicely)
-Buckeyes lost in Basketball NC (though, like the Cavs nobody saw them even playing there)
-Cavs got swept
-Indians could be in the World Series, and getting killed could be in their future (becuase they are the Cleveland Indians)
-Browns have to get killed in the Super Bowl. Now, the Browns always things up, and this case is no different. They will never see the playoffs, but if they do, and they somehow find their way into the Super Bowl, they are fully capable of getting killed because they are the Browns.
If these final 2 teams pan out, this will go down as "The Year"
Thank God we have better days coming w00t
I'd love to see the tribe in the WS, but they will get killed if Joe Borowski is their closer. That guy sucks!
For Game 3, the No-Call.
