They certainly would have to be the favorites assuming no major injuries.
You have to think who other than the Kobe-Shaq Lakers could actually beat them in a series.....other than Dallas lucking out last year (and there was a lot of luck for Dallas in that series) it has been a long time since any team other than the Lakers old team could beat them in a series.
Maybe Phoenix gets them next year with some friendly NBA officiating, otherwise I think they will very likely get their first repeat.

thats a shocker.
He's probably right. Remember, the Cavs got that jump ball violation called at the beginning of Game 4, which is obviously proof that the league is rigged and the refs are biased in favor of the Spurs.
Geez I thought the Suns were going to wipe the floor with us if they only had players smart enough to stay on the bench ...
IMHO, the Spurs are not always the strongest favorite, but they're always in the mix. There are many if's, but i think the Mavs, Suns, Bulls, Jazz, and Cavs would be strong contenders too.
