The beat writers in Houston are being nice and respectful. The radio talk show hosts are showering in Haterade.
So what is the media in Houston and Dallas saying about the Spur's Championship???

I have not heard much either way....but I have been very busy.
Jerome Solomon blew his chode because of the Spurs. He had to go on leave.
Here in Dallas, it's been a mix of compliments toward the Spurs in the local newspapers. Many of the scribes have been very respectul and have acknowledged how dominant the Spurs have been during the Duncan era.
Of course, several scribes did attempt to link the Spurs success with the Mavs overall progress. In fact, some local writers even went so far as to reference the Spurs success as a justification as to why the Mavs FO SHOULD NOT make any wholesale offseason changes.
Here are a few local articles from the Dallas scribes:

As far as local sports talk, overall there is respect to what the Spurs have accomplished. However make no mistake, the Spur hatred and jealousy is alive and well.
After nearly 7 weeks following the Mavs playoff demise, many locals have written off the Mavs playoff failure as simply a "bad matchup" versus Golden State (oh, the denial). Some even believe that the Mavs still could have taken out the Spurs in a potential WCF matchup.
^^^^I hope you don't have a spurs championship bumper sticker on your car up there in Dallas...or it might look like this soon

I do have Spurs license plate covers. Wear the black and silver proudly.
I'd feel more nervous if I had one of those Bush re-election stickers on my car.
