Gerald Wallace can't shoot, and missed more games in the last two years (37) than Bowen has in 6 years (23). He's a ing scrub who plays a lot of minutes on a bad team, and appears to be better than he really is.
I hear he's a restricted FA and may not be brought back if Charlotte decides to draft a SF next week.
Would there be any interest in bringing him here to eventually replace Bowen?

I don't know what kind of player Wallace is, except to say that some team (bucks?) will pay him $8M...or certainly more than the Spurs could afford.
My guess is that there's no way he's a Spur unless he signs a one-year tender with the Bobcats and opts for unrestricted free agency in 08....then the Spurs have a shot at him.
Next...guy is a scrub who got some run on a terrible team. Temper expectations accordingly.
What's Shane Battier contract? I hope the Spurs FO consider this guy to replace Bowen. He can shoot 3's and play defense!
