Kobe's like OJ, if OJ could still ball. It's more the spectacle, the curiosity, that draws people in.
It's surprising to me that nobody has expressed genuine concern for his mental well-being. He sounds like he's cracking up to me. I expect him to do something kooky some time soon.
Who would drive?
I was just thinking about that this morning. Kobe has always been very level-headed and stable in his manner (ignoring the alleged rape case), behavior and interviews.
In the past few months, he is starting to sound like he's losing it. Either he got fed up and he just can't handle it, or he might be cracking mentally. I'm not saying this as a joke. But the guy isn't Dennis Rodman or Ron Artest ... these interviews, changing his mind daily about wanting to be traded, etc. - it's all very odd coming from Kobe.
I'm sure there's a Kardashian ready to jump to his assistance.
Kobe had it all. Basketball supers om, beautiful wife, championships, the unanimous "Next", 8 figure annual endorsement deals, etc...He could've spent 5 more seasons or so playing with one of the greatest centers of all time, gradually taking over as the top dog on the team and then been in a nice spot to recruit guys to come to LA with a fair amount of cap room after Shaq hung it up.
Now when it seemed like he had somehow managed to rehab his career and image...
I do think he started panicking around the Western Conference Semi-Finals.
It's not that far-fetched to believe he's having an anxiety attack thinking about his future.
While he was making phone calls to various radio stations in a capricious manner, he also blogged three days in a row about his frustration.. And then continued to update his page, only to later take them down according to the reports. Not very wise, and careful behavior for a famous person, he's giving them too much fodder with his words, that he normally wouldn't do in past controversies. (you know the ones--including Shaq's smack talk)
and the fact that he's putting up vids of himself doing his early morning workouts? and posting fan support comments on his latest blog?
I always remembered him being pretty reclusive during the offseason in terms of handling media's typical criticism.
Now the pressure's finally gotten to him, where he's in need of constant reassurance and immediate outlets.
He's definitely slipping.
He must be jealous of TO![]()
Yep, very unstable.
Kobe is a disgrace to the ing league anymore i can't stand him. All he does is and moan. Asshole you knew that you were resigning with the Lakers without Shaq what the did you expect was going to happen? He is not a team player he needs all the credit for everything or he will whine like a little . you Kobe piss off and rot in for all i care!!
If you hate an NBA player that badly to where you want him to rot in and you don't even give a damn, I suggest you lay off the NBA for a while and get a life.
he is depressed.
I think Kobe just knows what he has to do to get out of LA. He hasn't changed his mind daily about wanting to be traded...he has stood firm on that. He is the ultimate compe or...he wants to win. If LA is just going to surround him with scrubs after he has already won 3 les and in his prime, I don't blame him for doing everything he can to make sure he is traded. I'd take Kobe on my team any day of the week.
uhm just what he was told to expect when Shaq left....they would get the necessary pieces to compete for championships in the coming years...it never happened...to me it's like your boss telling you he is going to give you a huge raise very soon, but 5 years later you're making the same.
The dude is in his prime, knows he can't wait another 3/4 years to see what happens, and he's the ultimate compe or. He just wants to be on a position to compete. Unfortunately for him, the Lakers management is awful. If Kevin McHale is the worst GM in the league, then Mitch Cupcake is probably a close second.
Kobe ran off the talent that made LA a serious contender. He deserves to be in the spot he is in.
Nah, it's more like telling the boss to fire the other guy because you can do his work in addition to yours and then later ing about the increased workload and castigating the boss for not hiring enough staff.
Before I forget, that overrated prima donna has-been rapist.
You're right. She assaulted his member with her asshole. Totally unprovoked.
