According to Chad Ford of ESPN, Afflalo measured 6'6 in socks at a recent workout with a 6'9 wingspan and a "muscular 225lbs".

I kinda don't believe Chad Ford about the measurements. Unless he plays in his socks, or pulls them over his shoes, that would make him 6'8" on the court, which he clearly is not.

Chad Ford is often full of .

If he really is 6'6 with a nice wingspan then hes an option at the 33. Otherwise I'm really not interested. And no matter what, he'd be a horrible choice for the 28.

I think he's closer to 6'3 in socks than 6'6.

I like him but I don't know if I'd pick him.

Below the top 15, he's one of my favorites in this draft. Defensive stopper and scorer, as well. What more could the Spurs want besides another couple of inches in height? If the Spurs draft this kid, I'll be hyped.

Only thing that concerns me (besides his true height) is I've seen him go Hedo in a couple big games in terms of shooting the ball. Take that out and he's like the reincarnation of Raja Bell.

I hereby concur. In such a way that makes me giddy...but could it happen?

You mean the Florida games, the two most important of his career?

Fvck. He plays D and can hit a jump shot though. He's Raja Bell minus the dirtiness and athleticism.

He's not a great pure shooter, that is for sure. However, he is a wing who still brings some good things to the court when his jumpshot is not falling, which is fairly rare for a college player anymore.

However, he has shown enough flash with the jumper that I'd trust Chip to do a lot of good with him.

And he was huge against the Jayhawks last year. Obviously there were more big games than just that, but the Hawks typically play tough perimeter D and he embarrassed them. Also, while KU's backcourt is a bunch of midgets, he did look noticeably bigger than any of them.

Since he seems to be on our (the fans) radar, i'm sure that means that the organization is looking at another direction. But I certainly wouldn't be disappointed with him at 28 or 33.

The Spurs shouldn't & wouldn't take any wing player that is shorter than 6'8" or 6'7" with great wingspan.

i see him alot in LA at UCLA and he works out at john wooden center and plays pick up ball with us at times and that Mata kid.

he is really nice, cool dude. quiet, humble like devin brown i guess.

    total spurs mentality.

Shoots a lot , can go MIA in games but I think a coach like pop is good for him.

He is a 2nd rounder but I think he can go 25-30.

I wish he stayed at UCLA for one more year , he would been top 15 next year.

hes good kid but Josh Shipp at UCLA is better, I think and the PG for UCLA both staying at UCLA one more year.

This guy sounds like a spurs player and coming from ucla where they preach defense, he could possibly take over for bowen but will also give you something offensively as well.

On the Chad Ford thing, I believe he was referencing a workout in which Afflalo was measured...why would he make something like that up?

On Afflalo, I think he could be a good role playing type and if the reports are true that he is 225lb and has a 6'9 wingspan, he should be able to play both the 2 and 3 spots. He's apparently also a very good mid-range shooter. I'm not advocating Afflalo at #28, but I think he could be a good pickup at #33 and should fit in well.

Bad information. Typo. Do you really think Afflalo is 6'8" with shoes on?

People get information wrong all the time. Someone says "he might be closer to 6'4" without taping him and you're inclined to believe them?

People also said Thaddeus Young was 6'8 or 6'9 and I think he barely measured out at 6'7.

I don't know if he's 6'6 in socks, but if the estimation before while just looking at him was 6'4, I'd say that's a pretty big disparity. I'll split the difference and call him 6'6 with shoes...how's that?

Either way, I think he's a solid player and a good value at #33 if that's where the Spurs go...

I'd be impressed if he's even as tall as 6'6" with shoes.

Having seen him in person? Having taped him yourself? Or having read a couple of reports like the one on NBAdraft.net?

Do you also believe that Rudy is still 172lbs and some of the other things written or outdated?

If there's a recent report of a guy who got taped at a workout....I'll trust that over incidental reports of "seeing a guy".

It's also a matter of cir stantial evidence. If this guy truly was 6'6" you'd start getting into swingman/small forward territory. He's not. He's certainly not that tall in his stocking feet - he'd be slated for 10-15 spots higher than he is now, at least.
