I don't think Tucker will do much in the NBA. He'll probably be an ok player off the bench, but nothing more. With Splitter you get a guy that could potentially start beside Duncan and it also puts added pressure on Scola.
I think we missed a great opportunity to get a good defensive player in Alando Tucker. We need to look at a replacement for Bowen...

Agreed. I don't see Tucker doing much. Like Splitter a lot more.
I think Tucker is going to have a tough time trying to score in the NBA. Defense-only types stay around the league only if they're exceptional at it (Ben Wallace, Bruce Bowen) and even those guys offer at least something at times on the offensive end. I don't think Tucker is ever going to be a particularly good shooter and I'm not sure he has the offensive game to get to the rack and make things happen on a regular basis.
I don't have any problem with the Spurs deciding to pass on Tucker. I suppose he could prove me wrong, and I hope for his sake that he does.
Tucker is one of those college tweeners whose game may not translate well into the pros.
there is a rumor (on spursreport) that Spurs were trying to move up (for Cook) but failed and then were set to trade the 1st rounder, but changed their mind when Splitter surprisingly fell to #28. so, no Tucker anyhow.
Alando Tucker sucks. No shot, ty handles, undersized, playing forward. No thanks
Adrian Griffen's long lost cousin.
Actually, he might prove to be a poor man's Adrian Griffin.
PJ Tucker is available too.
Sign that boy up for the Austin Toros!
