its a rip off
if you get it, you gotta buy a UVERSE TV which is about a grand
It seems to work just fine on my friends non-UVERSE TV... so... what are you talking about?
i recieved a letter in the mail telling me that uverse was now available in my area and then i look and read the fine print on that letter and it said an ATT UVERSE TV was required and it cost 1100
I think you might be mistaken... my parents also just ordered it (but have not had installed yet) and I know my dad is too cheap to buy a new TV when he already has a great one.
i'd love to get it.
i will have to look into it
i know i am not buying an 11oo tv
i've have uverse since last august.. pretty sweet... channel change has a .5 second to 1 second lag so that pisses me off, but other than that.. sweet.
i didn't have to buy any tv either.. where would you even come up with that????
it said on the mailer they sent me in small print to buy a att uverse flatscreen for 11oo$
that may have been a suggestion...honestly how many people do you think they would get to subscribe if you had to buy an $1100 tv?
i dont know. good point.
i was probably high as when i read it anyway.my bad
switched from twc-sa to it -- cheaper and well... cheaper! Same dollar amount gets more channels, more boxes. The channel change lag is better than twc.
I've had it for about 2 months, it's not too bad I have more channels and more HD channels than I did with DirecTV. I do hate the lag in channel changing though. The one thing that sucks is I live in Dallas and U-Verse doesn't have NBA TV so I may go back to DirecTV before the NBA season starts so I can catch the Spurs. And no you don't have to buy a new TV or equipment.
