Yes I heard Rush got traded, and no, it wasn't to get Bobbitt. It was likely to get some draft picks for future trades, and also to put him in a situation where he'll get to have more playing time. He was getting little to no playing time in LA and he has done really well when he's had long stretches of playing time, so I think he'll do ok. I also think this was a way to sign a temporary player in order to make room for Malone's return.
And I suppose this could go in the club or something like that, but I'll ignore the thread police as long as I can
And thanks for not kicking my team! Although, I'm not at all sad about where they're at right now. Even though I know they're going to have some growing pains, at least they have options and at least they've rid themselves of the "Big Complaint."

Well they trade Rush for two future second round picks. But then they signed Bobbitt. That's why I said Rush for Bobbitt.
I thought they were getting rid of Rush to sign Malone. So I thought it was strange that they signed Bobbitt.

If I remember correctly, it's not a guaranteed contract. Rush's is, so they very well couldn't have released him when it came time for Malone to play.
it's only a 25% shot IF Kobe stayed, which likely wouldn't have happened if Shaq got the big fat contract he wanted. If Kobe left and Shaq got his way, the lakers would have been screwed for the duration of his contract.
