Frankie Elson, if he can stay injury free i think with this season under his belt his speed at the 5 should lead to alot of fast break points.
Now that we've inked most of the roster back, who will it be?

Brent Barry. The effect of not having Barry on Spurs next season will be a huge positive.
Jackie Butler and James White.
I sure hope so!
JAMES WHITE.
I have believed in this kid since the beggining.
Even if he does not play here next year, I think he has improved a whole lote and learned so much here in SA>
It's either White, Bonner, or Butler. I can't choose one.
Hopefully it's Bonner, because he'll probably get even more of Horry's minutes in the regular season.
I wish it would be Elson, but he hasn't really shown in his career an ability to improve.
I don't know if Butler, Williams or White will be here yet, so I'm not going to wait to see who is here when the season starts.
If White makes the roster and gets some time on the floor I think he'll seriously impress. He looked really good in the limited minutes he got last season.
That being said, I think Bonner will have the biggest leap because Pop has already shown that he will play him and Bonner has a skill-set at his position that nobody else (save the aging Horry) really has.
Gotta be Beno. Lots of room for improvement.
Fabs.
He'll play better and better like in the Valencia or Tau.
Elson, Bonner and Barry for NOCIONI!!
Fabricio Oberto...
Remember when you guys were yelling "Trade Beno and Oberto" in February??
My gut says Bonner because he was the closest to getting a rotation spot last year and there might be some opportunity for him to increase minutes or get into the regular rotation.
My heart says Butler, because IMO he has the most talent of the unproven guys and if Elson doesn't step up, I could see Butler overtaking him in the rotation and never looking back....though I think the first scenario is more likely.
Matt Bonner...he starts his basketball camps next week for two weeks and he has his charity concert. After that he has set a regiment of running Loon Mountain, swimming, lifting weight and around 4 hours a day in the gym. He knows this is his year to prove everyone wrong and he doesn't want another injury.
Tony Parker - the Frenchie improves every year. This year he'll shoot 88% from the line.
And 47% 3 point range.![]()
with absolutely zero pressure on him and great knowledge of the Spurs philosophies look for mike fin's shooting perc. to be through the roof.
Nah, Luke's at UMass working out.
Yep. IMO its like having two first round picks just waiting to really contribute....I think both are better than the guys taken after #15 in this years draft. White could stand to gain 10-15 pounds of muscle to handle the pounding and it would help his D. Butler can be a low post banger-scorer if he reports to camp in shape. Odds are better for White because of the style of play in the West but Butler could be that off the bench low post scorer we need.
This is Barry's last year (and I think will be moved by the deadline) so I see White really taking over that 2nd SG/SF option off the bench. If he and Manu are on the court at the same time that could be a ton of fun.
I think Bonner because I think he gets a lot of minutes this year.
