The NO pick was shipped to the Bobcats for Ely. We currently do not owe any draft picks and are only owed the Raptors' 2nd rounder next season.
Toronto's 2008 2nd round pick (Printezis trade)
New Orleans' 2009 2nd round pick (Nesterovic trade) - was this included in the Ely trade or was it the Spurs' own?

Shut the up with your link
Find it yourself and post it if he is right or wrong.
I for one believe him based on his post count.

If I question him, I would look for it myself online to check.
gets old, having to ask for link from the dude just to be some sort of moderator, so people can see you are patrolling like some annoying motorcycle cop.
Find it yourself and add to his claim or not.

They aren't always 100% acurate but it's the best link I know about future picks.
That site isn't accurate right now, it needs to be updated. It still is listing 2007 draft picks owed on there...even though the draft already happened.
I read it somewhere Marcus and I'm pretty sure its true.
Raptors, Round 2 2008
> Spurs — Traded rights to Giorgos Printezis to Raptors for 2008 second round pick on 6/28/07
Hornets, Round 2 2009
> Raptors — Traded Aaron Williams to Hornets for 2006 second round pick (#56-Edin Bavcic), 2009 second round pick on 1/31/06
> Spurs — Traded Radoslav `Rasho` Nesterovic to Raptors for Matt Bonner, Eric Williams, 2009 second round pick on 6/21/06
> Bobcats — Traded Melvin Ely to Spurs for Eric Williams, 2009 second round pick, $1M cash on 2/13/07
I love how second rounders get bounced around all over the place. If you trade a future 2nd to a team chances are that it will have changed hands 5 times before draft day...and maybe yet again on draft day itself!
man, we got jobbed on the Ely trade if we gave all that--williams, a pick and a cool million up front--for about 60 minutes spread over a whopping 10 games.
Don't tell me the Spurs are cheap!![]()
It was to save luxury tax money. That's it. Burned a second rounder for it.
spurscenter - there is actually some good in providing links beyond showing proof that you didn't make up the information (as a few personalities in here have done). First of all, you show respect for the person who did the hour(s) of research to obtain the information rather than taking that information and offering it up as some of your own insight. Secondly, searches are made all of the time on the internet and what you quote without showing a link may end up being requoted by someone else using a link to your post. Things can get sloppy after a while.
Just something for you to think about.
