    Charlotte acquired Jason Richardson (and $51 million in salary commitments) last week. This week, the Bobcats and Matt Carroll agreed in principle on a $27 million deal. And those around the Bobcats expect to re-sign Gerald Wallace very soon to a contract worth more than $60 million.

    That's not too bad, ten million per....

    I don't know that he's worth ten million per, but I don't know that the Bobcats can afford to let him go for nothing since he's an unrestricted free agent.

    I think it's a bad investment. They are a newer franchise and don't need to get locked up in something they can't move in 3 years.

    I think they had a plan until MJ got into the picture. The people (especially Bickerstaff) previously in charge were careful about their money and careful about who they drafted for the team. Things WERE going well. Now...well, we'll see.

    With salary cap inflation, in 3-4 years, a $10 million/year deal will be a pretty good price to pay for this guy.
