The only problem we have is a cracked driveway *knocks wood* ... I love our house. But there are a few houses (like the guy 3 doors down) whose homes don't appear to be even safe to live in....massive cracks in every corner/wall & ceiling in the house...my next door neighbor's is pretty bad, too. They're happy to show anyone who comes by. I believe a lot of the problem is caused by bad drainage/standing water. They've been trying to get Ryland to do something about it since last September, but they only started responding when they started picketing and getting media involved. Too little, too late. Is it too late to fight my property taxes? I'm sure our property value has plummetted the last couple of months.

I watched the video that her neigbhor made of his house. Unbelievable. I feel really bad for those people and and happy that SW isn't having to deal with all that in her house.
This is what it looks like in my neighborhood every weekend, although yesterday they weren't ing around...they had all 3 trucks and the big signs right in the cul de sac of the model homes!

Yeah ... it's been going on for a while now. These people are super-pissed.
Damn... that is bad... I tried calling the CEO for my issues, they weren't even close to these though..... ....
To this day, I have still not received any apologies from management or a gift card or nothing... ing bull . There are at least 7 houses up for sell in my neighborhood, I don't know why.
We really haven't had any problems at all, other than our driveway and some standing water by our side fence ... but I've been in all of these other houses and my heart aches for these people.
There's like 9 or 10 for sale in mine...and there's only 105 houses built out of a projected 450.
yeah, your value is probably going to be terrible as long as this goes on... you might want to join in a suit or something and gtfo.

they just took their sweet ass time fixing things.. then when they did, it took them 2-3 times to get it right.
they sheetrocked my house without a walkthrough. the house had 2 pages of stuff wrong with it when we closed.
i am hiring an inspector this week to come in and check everything.. 200 bucks... pisses me off....
we like the house, but ryland's customer service is pretty bad... they love to smile and say the right things but it never translates into your getting done...

Sorry but it's kinda hard to feel sorry for folks who buy houses built in less than 30 days by people who can't even speak English.

Yeah ... but it is pretty easy to feel sorry for folks that have to sell their homes in the middle of all of this , one because of a lost job and another for medical reasons ... when all of this drama is going on in the neighborhood.
They just finished a house on the corner not too long ago, and it took them 5 months to build it. I don't know about the English part, though.
I find it easier to feel sorry for them then I do a burnt out, out of work, untalented comedian.
Mouse, those are the only people who are willing to take those jobs seems like.
