cj and jackie butler have arguably been the only bright spots for the spurs this summer league. i honestly think james white has been a dissapointment so far and williams hasnt done a damn thing yet..but its still early. of course we kno the rumor about the spurs shopping beno and if the trade some how goes down by the start of the season and the spurs dont get another pg in return. cj watson can be a very good possiblity as our 3rd...altho i dont think it would be hard to take vaughn spot beacuse he doesnt do anything what so ever when he is on the court...spurs fans who think he is a good player are lying to themselves! but if watson keeps up the good work i think he has a very legit shot of making the team, i see williams not making it. but cj watsons spot hangs on the beno trade if that ever happens..dont be surprised if the spurs dont trade beno...maybe pop gives him another shot this year???? the kid has talent and knows the system...but keep an eye on CJ WATSON!

CJ Watson has been a horrible point guard so far in summer league. He has just chucked up shots and hasn't passed or run the offense well at all.

    Why would you want him?

coachmac87 once again proving there's not an impending name change to scoutmac87 on the way anytime soon.

CJ Watson has been the worst player on the team. Jackie Butler is more of a point guard than him.

He has outplayed james white and everybody else on the roster. its still early tho...but im just going by the numbers. guess numbers dont mean a damn thing. now his fg% isnt great but nobody on the roster is shooting a good one..who do u see as our bright spot besides butler?

Outside of Butler, Regis Koundija has probably been the second best player on the summer league team.

By the numbers, he's averaged 1.3 assists and nearly 3 turnovers in 25 minutes per game. That's pretty bad for a point guard. He doesn't look to get anyone else involved.

Butler has played decent but overall the whole team hasn't looked good. But that might be because the point guards suck.

i dont have nba tv or anything havent watched a game...like i said im going by the numbers and by the numbers he is the 2nd best player on our team...and ya his assists numbers arent great but its the summer league. im sure the spurs offense is a little different without tim duncan or manu ginobili on the court

He might be scoring a decent amount, but if you see any game, you'll see that he's pretty atrocious. Anyone can probably score in summer league if they have the ball in their hands - which he does.

I've seen Watson three times not pass on three-on-one breaks already. He's had James White open for countless alleyoops that he refuses to throw. I'm amazed Butler is averaging double figures seeing how Watson can't throw a pass to the post to save his life.

Anyone who criticizes Tony Parker's passing or playmaking ability should be tied down and forced to watch these summer league games on loop.

White has had his moments. But yeah overall, White has been pretty disappointing. For example, Devin Brown at the same age was a much better prospect ... at least offensively.

Marcus Williams has alternated between being horrible and being invisible. He has played exactly like 2002 Steve Smith except with no shooting ability.

ok you are dumb if you think watson has outplayed white so far, white hasn't been great, but today was his first real bad game, and i still wouldn't say watson totally outplayed him........ watson only cares about his numbers, he only cares about trying to impress ppl by shooting every chance he gets, to bad he forgets that he's a pointguard and that he'd probably impress ppl more if he got everyone involved............

and it's obvious you don't know about basketball, scoring doesn't make you a good player, it's the little things that make you good, and vaughn does those little things, jsut cause he doens't fill up the stat sheet doesn't mean he isn't producing for us

watson is hot garabge and will be a summer league lifer

Why is it the people who don't watch the games that come up with these dumb ass threads? How do you know he's been feeding the post? He's been nothing but a ball hog for the two games I've WATCHED and I'd take Beno over him in a heartbeat. You ready for BBall 101 class yet?

Seeing Watson run the show is pretty nasty. There was a couple of breaks where he had White open in transition, instead he took some ugly jumpers which he missed.

White looked good when playing D on Green during the second half. If Watson was more of a distributor instead of a chucker White would have had better numbers.

havent watched the games...and ya scoring i guess doesnt mean ..now im not comparing gilbert arenas to cj watson so dont get ahead of yourself...but that er shoots more than anybody not named KOBE..and he scores but is considerd one of the best pgs in the league...scoring is the most important piece of the game u ing idiot..ya the little things matter but those wont get u far! michael jordan didnt win 6 les doing the little things..

Butler's scoring in spite of not having a decent point guard to run the show. He got 16pts and 14 boards against the Celts, and at least a few points were off of O rebounds.

You ready for BBall class? It starts when the check clears my bank.
