...Congress, we almost missed talking about the abysmal failure of Gore's Live Earth!

The folks over at The Corner offer some insightful explanations for the failure of the so-called "Live Earth" concert to take off this weekend. The ratings were terrible, it cost too much to produce and, ironically, used too much energy and produced more greenhouse gases than the annual yield of some countries. Jonah Goldberg linked to this witty explanation:

the folks at "Live" Earth were barely alive. It was all music from really old guys and gals. And it was put together by a former Vice President. How many ways are there to bore your kids to death? Imagine, he notes, if Woodstock had been organized by Hubert Humphrey!
I've come to a conclusion. I'll start acting like global climate change is a crisis when those who are telling me global climate change is a crisis start acting like global climate change is a crisis.

Yoni is rat on dubya's sinking ship. Yoni is frantic as that he is being discredited for believing and hyping all of dubya's and head's lies.

Let's see.......Yoni is a racist, he's in law enforcement but thinks his party is above the law, he thinks God sent us Bush as a Divine Savior.

What kind of republican is that?

Well, let me see if I can help you out.

Algore is a former politician of some notoriety -- you may or may not agree, who knows.

Algore is (and has been for some time now) screaming, at the top of his lungs, that we're headed for a existential man-made calamity caused by anthropogenic global climate change.

Much of the mouth-breathers on left have jumped on Algore's "man-is-causing-global-climate-change" wagon and have, too, joined the cacophony of noise we have all come to know and love as the religion of Global Climate Change.

So, here we have Algore, the high priest of this church, organizing a 7 continent (well, I doubt there was much of a carbon footprint in Antartica), so, organizing a 6 continent "aren't-we-environmentally-conscious" love fest that probably produced more greenhouse gases, used more energy, and emitted more pollutants than -- by some estimates -- the same by a country the size of Afghanistan.

And he did all this for nothing...nobody watched.

    That's why it's relevant.

Again, I'll start acting like global climate change is a crisis when those who are telling me global climate change is a crisis start acting like global climate change is a crisis. I'd recommend this credo to everyone.

Well that's certainly a stretch but I seem to think you will always find something negative to say about Democrats in general.

So this is how the forum works now?

A "liberal" starts a thread on something and every other liberal chimes in with their bashing of everything on the right.

A "conservative" starts a thread on something and every other liberal chimes in with attacks on said conservative.

    Ok, got it.

I am a little curious about the "global warming is caused by man" group and their opinion on this Live-Earth stuff.

Seems a touch hypocritical to me.

Am I on ignore again? seriouly though i've never put anyone on ignore does that mean you don't see their posts?

in regards to boutons his messages he would be better received if he used less confrontational lagnuage. anyway my 2 cents.. I don't approve calling anyone names (except on occasion when yoni deserves it).

Oh, no doubt, you can tell just by this quote here:

dubya and head have way too many, and continue to lie, that most serious Americans simply don't believe dubya and head anymore.

I've also noticed that he talks about " s" alot.

I dunno, seems kind of gay...........not that there is anything wrong with that.

    Why is it a stretch?

I took 3 easy steps to relevancy for you.

    1) Algore (political element);

    2) throws a party with a HUGE carbon footprint for all anthropogenic climate change myrmidons and nobody's interested (topic of political interest); and,

    3) the irony is ignored by the press, (another favorite of mine -- a slanted press).

What's the stretch? I hit the trifecta of liberal hypocrisy.

Celebrities need to use transportation that will afford them a certain amount of protection. (if that's what you mean by hypocritical)

When they say " caused by man" they're including themselves.

If Bush didn't use the same kind of transportation, he'd be a dead man.
