    Golden State Warriors' forward Matt Barnes said he has not received the offers he anticipated after a breakthrough season.

    "Right now, there's nothing happening," he said. "I was thinking the midlevel exception was realistic, but my agent has been telling me teams have questioned whether the success I had was because of (Warriors coach Don) Nelson's system and whether or not I could have the same success in another system."

    Yeah, I know. I'm the one that says that every summer over and over I don't have my hopes up because of that. But I'm sure the Spurs will talk to him as always.

    I really wish the Spurs can sign him! Any chance at all of that happening now since it seems that no one offered Matt anything substantial?

    I don't think Matt Barnes would mind playing on a championship team...I know in the past, he didn't want to play here. Maybe now he changed his mind...

    I read somewhere that James Posey was weighing an offer from Golden State. If he chooses to go there, how many small forwards would that give the Warriors?

    Judging by the article posted above...I doubt Matt will get such high offers. It sounds like he didn't get offered much of anything at all...

    So the Spurs might be able to get him at a good price.

    Barnes is a different type of defender. Udoka is like Bowen in that he can guard anywhere from slower point guards to bigger small forwards. Barnes is a long small forward who guards small forward or power forwards.

    For example, Barnes can't guard Kobe. Then again, Udoka can't guard Dirk.

    It's a different type of player.

    Thus underlining the uniqueness of Bowen. (Not to mention he can guard Nash, too.)
