Time for the fetus murder supporters to cry. This is only the second thing Gov. Blanco did right (in my opinion) since announcing she won't run for re-election.

Not that this matters much now since it is a federal law too, but it would matter is congress changes the law, or another court case is successful against it.

State fines are $1,000 to $10,000 and penalties are 1 year to 10 year jail sentences.

There is a provision if the mother life is in danger, but not for the mothers health.

Ninety percent of all abortions occur in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, and are not at issue.
...at least, not until the anti-women crowd are able to move the moniker 'late-term abortion' to those first 12 weeks. They're working on it....damn activist judges..

Outlaw all abortion and infanticide or legalize all abortion and infanticide. Society dodges the issue by legalizing some and making some illegal so that both camps are "happy". A 50/50 solution doesn't address the moral issue.

Are Judges the right people to decide in which cases a mother's health is in serious jeopardy for that matter? Will this make doctors more reluctant to possibly save a woman because of legal ambiguity about what cons utes a threat to a mom's life?..Doesn't this not place the subjective life of the unborn fetus above the very real life of a human being?

Are Judges the right people to decide in which cases a mother's health is in serious jeopardy for that matter?
    No

Will this make doctors more reluctant to possibly save a woman because of legal ambiguity about what cons utes a threat to a mom's life?
    Yes

Doesn't this not place the subjective life of the unborn fetus above the very real life of a human being?
It places the mother's life first, then the fetus' life, then the mother's "health".
As to whether this health endangerment could lead to a life endangerment, the wording is too ambiguious and would be fought in a court, leading to your first question.

Louisiana joins Michigan and Florida as the most ed up states in the union. Women should not be running things and making decicions like these.

i think this is going to waste gasoline as women now have to drive out of state to have their fetuses removed
Actually, the 108th Congress under president Bush already banned the procedure. It is now Public Law 108-105. Have to go out of country now for the disgusting evil procedure.
