Yes, summer league still isn't over. Despite Butler being traded, Sanikidze going back to Europe and White, Sommerville and Lee being injured, the Spurs summer league team has three more games to go.

The play the Jazz tonight. The team is basically Marcus Williams and that's about it at this point. Williams has been pretty horrible throughout summer league so a one man team featuring him should get ugly tonight.

The game is on TV ... but only in Salt Lake City. The game should also be on the radio for any ultimate hardcore Spurs fans out there.

I'll look for more specifics on the exact start time and a link to the radio station.

    Game starts 8PM CST.

I found these instruction on a Jazz forum on how to listen to the radio broadcast of the game:

I've read these forums for about a year, and kept seeing people post ways they could hear or watch the RMR games cause they didn't live in Utah and no one seemed to know. So i decided to make an account.

    You can go here:

    http://www.thegamelive.com/basketballnba.html#phe

and go down to utah jazz and click the 1320 station. Two local guys are doing ALL the jazz games live moutain time on the radio there.

Mine plays in the Windows Media Player.

If the link to connect to the radio doesnt work do this:
Go into windows media player and go to file and open url and copy and paste this link in there: http://mmslb.eonstreams.com/Playlist.wsx?PPID=3170 and it should take a second to buffer and your good to go.

    Jazz Forum
I just tested it and it worked for me. So far any hardcore Spurs fans who want to listen to the Spurs get destroyed by the Jazz, there you go.

    Sanikidze going back to Europe
When did that happen? I never heard anything about this.

After last game he flew back to the Republic of Georgia. Presumably to join his national team.

Crap, I must have missed that part. Well, at least on wednesday we can watch his last American outing on tape delay, right?

Judging by the minutes he got in SL I don't imagine he'll probably make the roster next season. But if he has a stellar outing with the Georgian national team I suppose that could change.

Needless to say, if hes not on the team this year then I think you have to add him the next season.

Man...the Bush admin didn't get the Bin Laden family out of here after 911 as clandestinely as the Spurs handled Sanikidze...

    WTF is up with that?

I don't buy that it's because he was missing rotations and so he couldn't get on the court...everyone was missing rotations, including Butler. And just about everyone else sucked too, worse than Sanikidze, who actually has a pretty good excuse for sucking and not having the systems down. It's like he came here...exhibited talent in the area and at the position that the Spurs are desperate for it...and they tried to erase him from the public record.

    It's just strange.

Somebody posted a satirical article yesterday where the Spurs traded Splitter and Sanikidze away for cash considerations and then signed Beno to a 6 year, 60M dollar extension. I laughed pretty hard...but at this point it wouldn't surprise me.

You have to wonder what they're thinking right about now.

This is exhilarating. My long work day is certainly being mitigated by listening to summer league basketball.

For whatever it's worth, these announcers remind me a bit of the Trinity University guys who do the football broadcasts on radio.

In any event, Spurs on a run!!

    Despite Milsap's 13pts 8reb and 1 assist in the 1st, the Spurs lead 25-20 at 7:03 in the 2nd.

    More updates coming

Oh, btw, Watson is running the point very well atm...pushing the pace alot...I think the up tempo fits him much better.
