Travis Outlaw to portland almost

I spoke with Travis Outlaw today. He was at his home in Mississippi, where he says he has been getting his pole into the water every now and again.

Travis says he is getting close to signing a contract, and he intimated very strongly that he would sign with Portland. He estimated that two other teams are after his services.

I asked him what he liked about returning to Portland.

"They are a young team that looks like they are going to be a running team, and I do like to run,'' Outlaw said. "And I do like Portland.''

Being as shy as he is, Outlaw referred everything else to his agent, Bill Duffy. Duffy did not respond to a phone message on Monday.
