steve wants the ball more
would you want avery to go off on you
I did not think so
Is that Dallas apparently offered him more money but he thought his chances of a championship were better in Houston LOL
Now THATS funny when even the free agents think Dallas is a choke team![]()

I did not think so
and why would you want cuban in the locker room with you
LOL...the same reason Francis loved CAT...Cuban could have been his new butt buddy.
Im not sure what Houston is after here - i spose he could come off the bench to provide a scoring spark but is he willing to do that. I cant see he him on the floor with Yao and T-Mac because he cant shoot. I bet Rockets fans are nervous.
James, Bonzai, Alston, Franchise, Scola & Butler. Rockets are loading up! Yao and Tracy will have to live with 20 shots between them to keep these guys happy. Good luck Rick!
houston has to have a trade up their sleeve
im shocked he didnt sign witht he clippers.
Would've been a great situation for him. Starting PG, along side his lover CM.
Really shocking he chose Houston instead.
What the is up with Steve and Cuttino? Leave them alone
????What the is up with Steve and Cuttino? Leave them alone
He did'nt go there beacuse Dallas has allot of scrorers..
houston doesn't? yao, t-mac, scola apparently?
on the contrary, one of our biggest issues is that we didnt have enough scorers (coming off the bench in particular). other than Stack, we have basically ZERO scoring from the bench. im not saying we needed Francis, but to say that Dallas has a lot of scorers is not quite true.
What's your source for that?
Since when did Dallas have the money or cap space to give him more?
Whichever team Francis goes to has a decreased chance of winning a championship.

Things remain quiet for the Dallas Mavericks during free agency as guard Steve Francis on Thursday decided to return to the Houston Rockets, his agent said.
Agent Jeff Fried said Francis agreed to a short-term deal with the Rockets over the Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat because of his comfort level with the franchise and the city.
"The West just got tougher," Mavericks general manager Donnie Nelson said. "We've got two pretty good point guards. We just didn't have the playing time to accommodate him."
Francis played the first five years of his career with the Rockets, including three All-Star seasons. Fried said other teams offered more money, but Francis has considered Houston his home since he entered the NBA in 1999.
