Ther Celtics have just cut Allan Rey (maybe realizing the possible confusion with Ray Allen).
I know he' s a good three point shooter (don't know about his defense, but he's a little small for being a guard). However...is he worth as look ?

He's going to be making nearly 2 million in Italy.

He was making some 600,000 here in the US.

Plays less amount of games, 1st class treatment, and they probably threw in a car so he can drive around.

    Nice deal by Ray.

Pretty soon, European clubs are going to be throwing mad cash towards NBA bench players and not just 2nd year or undrafted players.

Apparently, Stephon Marbury wants to go play in Italy once his two years have expired with NY.

Good luck to him. Most Euroleague teams pay for the player's apartment and provide a car while they are there, plus the money reported is after taxes.

So he'll be doing just fine.

Ray wouldn't have worked here. He lacks a position. He doesn't have the skills to play PG, and he doesn't have the size (6-1) to be anything more than a jump-shooter at SG who is a major defensive liability.

His 3 million dollar buyout is not exactly Spurs kind of money.
