I LOVE this. Oakley couldn't play in today's NBA though I wish he could. He would be closer to Danny Fortson than what any of us likely remember. Unfortunately the NBA has moved away from players with his skill set.
Oakley Considering A Comeback?
July 30, 2007 - 2:45 pm
Toronto Star -
Charles Oakley thinks about a comeback – his 6-foot-9 frame looks in better shape than the day he left Toronto in 2002 – but only under the right cir stances. Toronto would be nice, but so would Dallas, Miami, Cleveland or New York, as long as the price is right.
"I'm not coming back cheap," he said. "If you read this article and you think you can get me cheap, there's another thought coming."

Oakley, Reggie Miller, and Scottie Pippen: ready to win the 1990 NBA Championship!
Good one.
Don't call it a comeback.
IMO
He's broke and needs the money.
i wouldn't doubt it. the article states he's been living the rockstar life. now let's check his arms for some tracks...
The only way I could see it is if he bangs for limited minutes (a la Kevin Willis) and "lends" a few fouls to the cause.
I guess his string of car washes aren't doing so well, after all.
many feel the call but few are chosen.
