Garnett, Allen, & Pierce
Half court game. First to 21. Win by two. Clear the ball past the three point line on a miss. All things current day. What happens?

Well... none of em can stop TP or Manu...
So I say Spurs....
They actually got some D.
If there are NBA regulations, then the Spurs
If its street ball style, the Celtics
manu ginobili isnt exactly the greatest defender, ray allen will go crazy and shoot lights out. no need for KG to be hustlin on the boards. peirce will just be doin his thing..
kg is more athletic than td.
None of them can stop TP... or Manu.... they're not really known for D..
Manu has D.... steals alot and does block from time to time... he always stays on his man too... so yeah he isnt the greatest but hes a damn good one..
And KG is more athletic than Duncan but Duncan is one of the best defenders in the NBA..

With the freedom to create, TP and Manu would destroy.
Also, just for fun...have Bowen there as a spectator and have him just stare at Allen and smile....Ray will piss himself in fear.
The only problem i could see the Spurs having, is if Ray or Paul start lighting it up from outside... Manu and TP just dont have the height to guard them and stop them from getting their shots off... Interior defence isnt a problem obviously with TD there...
No way the Spurs would win that type of match-up. Street/Jam/arcade style they'd get smoked with.

Paul Pierce is actually a decent defender.
Pierce outweighs Manu by about 25 pounds. Manu is not a bad defender, but can he post defend Pierce?
Manu and TP can't guard Allen and Pierce either, just like Pierce and Allen can't guard Manu and TP.
It's really a push. Depends who gets hotter from outside, Allen or Ginobili.
I'd give the edge to the Spurs because Timmy would wear out KG, but it's dam close.
NBA Jam style? Played that game lots of times. Just pass-pass-pass-shoot.
Sad to say, but the Celtics will win. Parker or Ginobili can drive all they want for 2 points, but Allen and Pierce will light them up for lots of 3 balls.

KG, PP, RA > TD, MG, TP (how can you even argue this)
I love TD's game, and respect TP and MG, but you take TP and Manu and surround a team around them, they would be exposed big time. Individually, each of the big 3 on the Celtics is better than the big 3 on the Spurs with exception to TD vs KG....even though I believe TD is a better player.

And no, Allen and Pierce can shoot 3's all they want, but that doens't mean it'd fall. I'd take layups (high percentage) over 3's (low percetage) any day.

Spurs 3 play mental telepathy-wise now, no need for their "3 minds as one" to take a back seat to the newness of KG, PP, and RA.
And that would be a good chance to see Timmy's Three Shots. Those, I think he really likes to shoot those, it would be for the fun of it anyways.
Are we not talking about NBA Jam? I'd take my chances with their 3s. Played it before and I know damn well how accurate NBA Jam's 3pt shots are. If you want low percentage then pass it to Garnett. Just mix it up with Garnett's dunking and blocking shots and you will have higher chances of winning. You need a team that can shoot 3s and have inside presence.
Ray Allen in "He's on Fire" mode would be NASTY!
If I was able to use Elliot and David Robinson in NBA Jam before, then I can use Allen/Pierce with Garnett. =p
