Duncan against Oden for your first game. Nice.
Sweet....we get to play Houston twice in the first month. You can imagine how busy this forum will be with the Scola loons in here.
yeah especially considering spurs start off slow
WTF!? is the NBA trying to kill us in that Rodeo Road-Trip. we're all over the country for that one. sheesh.
that'll be a true test for our veteran team. i like the Duncan vs. Oden match-up in the first game.
if scola sucks scola fans will say he is adjusting if he dominates scola lovers will say told you spurs should not have traded him
scola haters will say spurs start off slow means nothing
Holy crap.
A ten-game rodeo trip.
The second half of the trip is six games in nine nights, with TWO B2Bs!
Good thing we got all those new fresh legs in the offseason.
atleast they get allstar break in there
they have 30% of their road games in 30 days
13 of 15 on the road from Jan 19 - Feb 21.
atleast spurs play boston late
we play 10 straight road games? 11 out of 12? I'd say that's a tough stretch.

For Boston's sake right ?
no everythign thinks they are champs
spurs can go in there late and tell them who is boss!

Why is Memphis their 2nd game of the season....should they start off with some decent teams?![]()
looks like an easy scedule for us expecially rodeo trip on east coast
spurs to finish with 60+ wins
yeah chrismas holiday at san antonio
Celtics on St. Patrick's Day in SA. Pretty cool.
That didn't work out so well for the Spurs the last time that happened:
Celtics 91, Spurs 85 -- March 17, 2007
Um, last year on St. Patrick's Day in SA the Celtics beat Tim Duncan for the first time ever.
Great point.
Even though we lost, playing the Celts on St. Paddy's day is cool. If they make it a yearly tradition (the game, not losing, that is), even better. The fact that the Celtics are worth watching now, even better.
One other schedule note:
That LA/Miami back to back is ridiculous. How does the league schedule a game like that? That's a Wednesday/Thursday back to back. So the Spurs finish up a game in LA around 10:15 (if there's no OT), shower and go directly to the airport (another 2 hours or so), take a 5 hour (?) flight losing 3 more hours with the time change, and get to Miami around 8 or 9 in the morning for a game at 7:30 that night? Terrible.
I don't see that -- I see a game in San Antonio on January 23 against LA and then a game in Miami on January 24 against the Heat. That's not an unusual back-to-back at all; the Spurs have a similar back-to-back in November, playing at Atlanta on the 20th and home against Orlando on the 21st.
It's only a one time-zone difference.
Interestingly, though, the Spurs get Miami twice on the 2nd night of a back-to-back.
I'm fairly certain that the league scheduling rules don't permit a team to travel across more than 2 time zones to play back-to-back.
You're right. I mis-read it. It's not that bad.
Although I still think there are way too many back-to-backs across the league, and it leads to an inferior product on the floor and more injuries. And I think a lot of it has to do with the TNT exclusive deal where they won't let any other games go on during their telecasts. It forces a lot of unnecessary back to backs.
Try this trip and these back-to-backs...
