Tancredo: Threaten to bomb Muslim holy sites in retaliation
    Republican presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo’s campaign stood by his assertion that bombing holy Muslim sites would serve as a good “deterrent” to prevent Islamic fundamentalists from attacking the United States, his spokeswoman said Friday.

“This shows that we mean business,” said Bay Buchanan, a senior Tancredo adviser. “There’s no more effective deterrent than that. But he is open-minded and willing to embrace other options. This is just a means to deter them from attacking us.”

On Tuesday, Tancredo warned a group of Iowans that another terrorist attack would “cause a worldwide economic collapse.” IowaPolitics.com recorded his comments.

“If it is up to me, we are going to explain that an attack on this homeland of that nature would be followed by an attack on the holy sites in Mecca and Medina,” Tancredo said. “That is the only thing I can think of that might deter somebody from doing what they would otherwise do. If I am wrong, fine, tell me, and I would be happy to do something else. But you had better find a deterrent, or you will find an attack.”

Tom Casey, a deputy spokesman for the State Department, told CNN’s Elise Labott that the congressman’s comments were “reprehensible” and “absolutely crazy.” Tancredo was widely criticized in 2005 for making a similar suggestion.

It's not only the Muslim religion this asshole is against:

    http://maxblumenthal.blogspot.com/20...m-without.html

Bombing religious buildings that are used by everybody to punish the radical, lunatic, terrorist fringe (ie, people like Tancredo) is a sure formula to push more people into extremism.

    Dumb Repugs.

Hey Buck Rogers, since you are a nonwhite hyperconservative Catholic, Tancredo would have your ass deported. Still like him?

That is ridiculous. Bombing holy lands to keep them from attacking?!?! How could you not believe that would incite the worst type of violence? What a foolish idea, horrible to have elected leaders with that kind of thought process.

Yes, we wouldn't want to make them mad at us, would
we. They may want to bomb our barracks, sink one of
our ships or horror of horrors, bring down two skyscrapers
and kill several thousand people.....oh, no, lets not make
    them mad.

Yeah, ask the Japanese how bombing Pearl Harbor scared the US from getting involved in WW2.

You actually think that bombing the holy land would curb violence ray?

It's one thing to be tough on terror. It's another thing to just be foolish.

Bomb Mecca and be prepared to pave the entire Middle East. But, I'm sure you'd volunteer.

You are also only speaking of the terrorists here. Destroying the holy land involves upsetting many more groups than just the terrorists.

The House of Reps always has more weird characters than the Senate, both left and right.

If you nuke the holy cities, you pretty much have to commit to killing most of the Muslims on Earth, including the ones in the USA.

Read up on what he said about black people after the LA riots. I'll try to find it myself and post later.

Bombing would be rather severe, and wouldn't have to be nuclear. However, the radicals will not stop until killed. There is no negotiating with them. My perspective is this. Bombing their most holy of sights may be the solution. First, we tell the worshippers of Allah that if they do not stop their own kind from attacking us and other sects, that we will destroy their temples. We give them a deadline for all attacks to stop. After this. we start with perhaps the 20th most important temple, or the temple of the group that leads the attack if known. We tell the Muslims with a 24 hour notice that we are attacking a particular site, and do it. Every time there is an attack in the name of Allah, we destroy another temple with 24 hour notice. Every time, we tell the communities why their temples are being destroyed. We remind them that the radicals are from their faith, so they must take an active roll in stopping the radicals. When we get so far, we might say give use specific person, or Mecca, or other sites of the most importance will be destroyed. We could tell them "Give us Usama Bin Laden dead or alive, or we bomb Mecca."

At some point, either all the temples will be destroyed or all the radiacls will lost funding and credibility. If things keep going like they are, we may have to resort to such tactics. Radical Islam practices have been a cancer on this earth far too long. We have the means to stop them. Shouldn't we?

Let them know, their God is not as strong as the USA! Destroy all of Allah's temples if we must, to show he is a worthless God to worship.

So if the terrorists let us know that they would destroy a US city and keep attacking us unless we handed over George Bush to execute, you'd be all aboard with getting rid of him?

Hmmmm, wonder how the Muslims get away with
blowing up their own churches? And no one really
retaliates. Like the the ones in Iran and Pakistan.

Nuke mecca, new york, the vatican too.
Give me a bomb, I'll drop it on you.
    Why stop at only two?
We've shown the world, just what they can do.
What a waste, not to destroy.
