I hate offseasons for the Spurs. NOTHING happens. The most excitement in an offseason I've had was when we re-signed Manu/Tony. So, besides saving some money what else has gone on? Did we sign Udoka, try to pursue Barnes/Pietrus, talk to KG, anything?![]()

Well, they have stayed out of trouble, that's something.
nothing is going to happen this year.Next season is when the fun begins.
Sorry, I haven't started Pre-School yet, that looks a little too advanced.
I checked the link before I clicked it. I thought a monster or some dude taking a dump was gonna pop up.
29 other teams are having exciting off-seasons?
FAs don't move something like 90% of the time, even less to they move to the Spurs.
Franchise players almost NEVER move.
Suitable 2/3 guys are dime/dozen.
I'm really excited about Splitter and Sanikidze.
I hope so.
Hold that thought... Lemme read up on Spurs current historical events. Oh, it says here, they were the '07 champs... , I'm good!
If you want exciting offseasons cheer for a team that sucks and gets great lottery picks. Otherwise, STFU.
The Spurs stayed the same while the other top teams got worse.
Sounds OK to me.
All I'm saying is that this team is far from perfect. I'm not saying we suck or don't have a chance of repeating, but we could use some help in a number of spots, specifically the 3 and 5 spots and a back-up 1 and 4.
We never were really put on the ropes in last year PO's, mainly because the Dallas Mavericks were ousted by the Warriors, but the Mavericks gvie the Spurs trouble.

How on earth did the top teams get worse? you are living in a dream world
Suns
Mavs
Rockets
all got better and Boston have made themselves a threat now also while spurs have done nothing to improve.
Spurs have been really dominant last year. A 16-4 record is really impressive. You don't need to fix something that isn't broken, it's quite logical that Spurs don't do big moves.
Spurs haven't save money this summer too. They have spend $21M between Oberto, Bonner and Vaughn.
won 4 championships in 9 years
Suns - Added an old Grant Hill, a late first rounder and a late second rounder. Lost Thomas, their best interior defender.
Mavs - Three second round draft picks, and a journeyman summer league stud who played all of 50 games in the last two seasons for a bad Hornets team.
Rockets - Aquired Scola, added past their prime former Rockets James and Francis back into the rotation, and a late first rounder.
While the Rockets on paper definitely seem to be a better team, I just can't buy into the argument that PHX and Dallas did much to improve their teams this year any more than the Spurs did.
Kind of like the summer before they signed Jermaine O'Neal and Jason Kidd.
We did make significant moves-- drafting Splitter. cutting James White and not signing Marcus Williams until he earns a roster spot in training camp. That leaves us with total flexibility to fill the last 3 roster spots. Many other teams already have 15 under contract and will need to cut based on need. The Spurs will get the pick of the litter.
Do wed need Webber or Brown even if they played for FREE! Bruno has it right--- we haven't made moves because "we are the champions!"
