I read the linked article and one of its references below on the common currency potential.
Sounds like a lot of outside influence and marginalization of the USD needs to take place before its even plausible.
And lo and behold, the Loonie is at one of its all time high in exchange, while the USD is on its steepest decline in decades.
The Peso is and always will be, Monopoly money.
